Thornton will always go down as a loser, that's a fact. Those Sharks teams he led in the early to mid 2010s had all the pieces to win a Cup and they didn't. A lot of that falls on him and Patrick Marleau.

For what it's worth, my friend works in the PT facility that the Jackets use in CBUS. She met Torts a couple of times when he coached there and says he is the quietest, sweetest, and most humble guy in person. She had no idea who he was until after the first time he came into their office. Just acted like any other guy off the street.
