The idea is to have everything hot ….I tried not heating everything before the oven and the buns were soggy by the time the chili got hot enough to melt the cheese real well. Her method is spot on . Thanks Tallie Faye for explaining why you do it this way!!

We get Bar S too as I like to just snatch one up and eat it cold. lol those baked chili dogs are delicious I like butter my buns and sprinkle with poppyseed.

No need to cook the Chili, very unnecessary steps and dirty up dishes. The oven heats the chili and dogs so just load up the buns and put in it, maybe add 10 minutes to cooking time.
