Do you have a favorite Le Labo or are you new to them?

I have tried several samples and the ones I liked are Another 13 and Lys 41. I love Santal 33 but not sure if I'd be willing to spend that much money on a single perfume. 😂 I think you might like Lys 41 though. It's the only feminine one I've smelled from Le Labo. To my nose it's a sweet floral. 😊

Tonka 25 and Another 13 are some of my go to Winter scents ( I live In Florida) I also like to mix Tonka with any “soft” vanilla to spice it up and help with longevity.

When you mentioned in the beginning which ones you got, I thought: "She is not going to like these...they are too masculine!" I think you would really like Thé Noir which is my favorite (sweet black tea, fig) and Lys 41 is another more feminine option (white flowers, coconut). Fleur d'Orange is nice too - it smells like a fancy orange soap to me.

I love Vanille 44, it’s not a sweet gourmand vanilla but it’s more clean smelling on my skin. It reminds me of a green vanilla, I really love it in the warm weather

I’ve only smelled 2 that have come as samples in a Nordstrom order. Santal33 and Lys41. Lys41 is beautiful and feminine. I think you’d really like it.

A lot of Le Labo lean masculine. I’ve tried 95% of their samples and I only liked Rose31 & Lys 41. I ended up getting a small bottle of the Rose 31 & it’s so strong, it doesn’t blend well with other fragrances. Lys 41 is good if you love tuberose but there’s other better tuberose bottles out there. I haven’t been back to repurchase anything from them.

My top 5 (in no order) from Le Labo are: Another 13, Lys 41, Bergamote 22, The Noir 29, and Fluer d’Oranger 27. I would never wear Santal 33 personally, but I LOVE the Santal 26 diffuser oil for our home.

`tebac' is amazing I thought it was too strong and masc when I first tried it but it sweetens up on most womens skin. on my bf it also smells very attractive and great for the colder months.

My two favourites are Santal 33 and Fleur d'Oranger 27. Only downside is the top notes in my bottle of Fleur d'Oranger 27 have gone off (to be fair, I've had the bottle for almost three years) so it smells like acetone at first before it settles back to normal. If you do get one, get a small bottle and use it up - it's devastating when it goes off.

I love Another 13 and wear it often. I'm a teacher, so it's a good one for work, but it just is perfect all year round. I am just starting to watch this and hope that you don't fall in love with any of the City Exclusives, since you can only buy them in September, unless you go to the particular city that they are inspired by. I love Vanille 44, and finally caved and purchased that this year. Le Labo Bergamot is great, as is their Rose 31. Looking forward to seeing how you feel about the ones you are trying.

I have lys 41 and is beautiful and strong, ambrette that is cozy stay home clean fragrance and I had iris that is beautiful but hate dry down… jasmin is ok too With Santal 33 I like day after dry down on clothes

My absolute favorite Le Labo is Citron 28. It’s one of the city exclusives and I got mine in September when all of the city exclusives are available. It’s so fresh and perfect for spring

I recommend Lys 41!! It’s the nicest white floral I’ve ever tried, and my favorite Le Labo. Typicallly, I don’t gravitate towards white florals, but there’s something so beautiful about it.

The Noir is my absolute favorite. It smells like dried black tea leaf dipped in honey. I just bought a bottle after sampling at the store.

I honestly was pretty surprised when I saw you were reviewing this brand. Instantly thought you’d think all of them would be too masculine since it’s a more unisex range. My fave is Gaiac 10 haha but I like those kind of Santal 33 and Molecule 01 pencil shaving vibes.

So I finally found a niche parfumery and I was so disappointed. The only ones I liked are a few Kilian and Diptique perfumes (and MFK being my favourite house). Everything else, Byredo, Memo, Wilhelm parfumerie, Nasomato etc stinks a lot. I don't know if people are being fake when they say they love love love niche, but I'm very disappointed. It's like they are trying too much. Seems to me I'm a designer person. 😄 I'd like to try Le labo, but I'm really scared now, lol!

Here’s the thing about Le Labo: Most of the fragrances are non-linear and very complex. They need to be tested on the skin to get a real sense of what they are. Each one provides a very different scent journey. My favorites are Bergamot 22 (which is the most beautiful citrus - but very linear), Another 13 which developed beautifully on the skin, Citron 28 (City Exclusive - Seoul) which is as if Another 13 and Bergamot 22 had a child, and Lys 41 which is the most feminine. An honorable mention is Ambrette 9 which is gorgeous but not as potent and I would like. An alternate to Ambrette 9 is Clean Reserve Radiant Nectar which is almost the same scent but far more potent and GORGEOUS!

I went to the store try to look for ones. They ask me to try another 13 I sprayed on paper. It smells terrible then he said you can try on your skin. I put it on the back of my hand. When I got home I can always smell it. It smells amazing very subtle a bit of spice a bit of like sweat a sexy sweat. You should try on your skin and wait for couple hours for some scents to combine with your body chemicals. Be prepared.. people will always ask you what you’re wearing.

So I have only tried the Le Labo scents through my detergents from The Laundress. They only have two, Santal 33 and Rose 31. I liked them both but not enough to reorder or order the perfumes. They made their own Damask Rose scented detergent, mixed with their signature detergent, called 723 and I LOVE that! It is great especially when I am wearing other rose scented fragrances as well, to compliment.

Ambrette 9 was compose original as a child perfume, Karl Lagerfield loved it so it became permanent bottle for le labo .. it is skin scent

I have Santal 33 and Another 13. I used to use these two scents alternately but decided to put them in hiatus mode after I discovered Byredo's Bal d'Afrique and Gypsy Water. Btw, may I ask what font did you use to label the notes in the video?

The tea fragrances, The Noir 29 and The Matcha 26 are very nice, especially the matcha tea fragrance, I really like that one. My other favorite is Baie 19. There is something intriguing about Lys 41, it's very interesting but I'm not sure if I'm a fan or if I'm not.

Great video!!!! Le labo should be tested on skin. With that said...I'm personally not a fan, it just doesn't wear well on me. But they are great as candles. I have made thr transition to trying out clean fragrances. Currently Ellis Brooklyn and Maison Louis Marie are my faves.

I love Santal 33, but it’s one I love to smell on boyfriend, not on myself. It’s unique and special but I bought it for him so I could enjoy smelling on him (and he loves it too of course!). :) My favorite on myself that I’ve had so far is The Noir. The Noir to me (I know it’s tea and fig dominant, but that’s not the image I get) smells like fall leaves. I can only wear it in cool fall weather but it literally gives me the image of crunching a big pile of fall leaves. And I love perfumes that give me images. I do think it’s unisex though so I’m not sure you’d like it. But I like the image I get with it and the scent memory makes me love it. :)

Lys 41 reminds me of Vert Malachite but it’s nice. It’s a white floral coconut type fragrance-love to smell it but I couldn’t wear it personally. The floral was too strong for me personally. But it’s lovely and feminine. And Rose 31 is one a lot of people love but aaaaabsolutely smelled like body odor to me and my boyfriend. It’s the cumin in it that did it for us. But I know a lot of people love it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ The tonka one is supposed to be nice too if you like tonka, but I’ve found this house difficult for me outside of The Noir.

I don’t think you can sample Le Labo scents well on tester strips. Their beauty comes out on the skin and can’t be properly experienced on paper. I would recommend trying them on your skin one by one and see what you think as you’re wearing it.

Well that was nice and relaxing 😊 Quick question, doesn’t the scented candle skew your fragrance sampling a bit? The only perfume I’ve smelled from Le Labo (and I actually only smelled body products - I had the opportunity to stay at Fairmont hotels where they carry these) is Rose 31, and I really love it! I pick up the most the rose and the cedar notes. I have the soap too! 😍

Looking at the note breakdown, I expected Another 13 to smell like BR540. Then you actually said it! Pear, Iso E Super and Ambergris seems like a signature Francis Kirkdjian DNA.

Not a huge Le Labo fan, but my favorite is Lys 41. There are just other tuberose white florals that are more affordable, even if the balance is near perfect in this one (for my taste). Edit: I have smelled all (and tried several on) that are available at the regular counters, haven’t smelled city exclusives. Edit for Ilythia, I don’t think you’d like Lys 41, it’s most similar to a less sweet Love Tuberose but amp up white florals.
