I Tried EVERY Le Labo Fragrance⎮Worth It or All Hype?! Fragrance First Impressions!

I didn't care for any of the le labo scents... but I blind bought Lys 41 and OMG it is intoxicating/ addictive the more you wear it! Hands down the best and most feminine (my preference) from this house!! Definitely full bottle worthy. Sadly not many reviews on it- glad to find yours!

Lys is a nice floral. The scents all together give me gardenia but there isnt actually any in it.

Lys 41 is identical to Gucci Bloom with better projection and longevity. I loved Gucci Bloom and thought it was so beautiful smelling but it didn't last 30 minutes on me. When I smelt Lys I was like okay this is what GB should have done!

Oh, Another 13! It was unfortunate that the pump didn’t spray well. Personally, I smelled that scent on a somebody. I am a teacher, after the parent conference I stepped out of my room and BAM! The corridor was smelling gorgeous. I literally followed the smell and find the room, and the person wasn’t there! She was gone, yet the scent was still there! I am in love with this fragrance!❤

I just a received a sample of Santal 33. It grew on me in 10 minutes and it smells AMAZING!! It’s full bottle worthy, I can’t stop smelling my wrist.

I love Santal 33, it's absolutely beautiful. I had heard about Another 13, got a sample and like you, I could not smell it... like at all. I may be wrong but I heard there was some element in Another 13 that caused some people to not be able to smell it which seems like a weird thing for a perfume. I don't really know tho. I just know I smelled nothing. Sticking with Santal 33 for life!

Ive realized that some of the samples didn't spray too, a trick I've found that works (sometimes) is twist the spray top until you feel the spring tick. it doesn't work ALL the time but helps on some. I'm sure you've gone back and smelled the last few again and can smell them better. They're actually quite strong, but something you might consider next discovery set, is take a little break in between every 4 or so and air out the room and your nose, and not to spray any on you until the end. Spraying that Santal almost certainly is what caused the last few to be faint. DEAD on about the Patchouli too! I'm like "i love patchouli smells but this smells like I'm making smoked beef jerky!"

Love Le Labo fragrances. The Santal 33 laundry detergent is so good. I use the body gel and lotions with other fragrance houses. Fleur d' Oranger 27 and Santal 33 are my favorite fragrances.

I saw the title and said YES!!. Le Labo is worth it. Number 13 is the best. Not enough people reviewing this one so thank you! I think if you went into Nordstrom and tried number 13; you will love it. It smells like a green scent mixed with light blue perfume. Think of Balenciaga mixed with Light blue. Feminine. Very fresh and sweet! 33 to me was okay and not my favorite but men love to wear that one. More masculine and popular.

That's what I've been seeing online. That Another 13 smells just like JHAG or Glossier You, which I do enjoy. But for the price, I will stick to the latter. I just purchased Santal 33, definitely a softer type of scent. I wish they had an extrait lol.

I bought Santal because of the fanfare but Neroli is the people’s champ for me. It’s in my top 10. I get tons of compliments and it’s long lasting. I have Nior as well. Smells great (not as great a Neroli or Santal IMO) but it’s not long lasting 😔

I have heard how Santal 33 is the end all be all of fragrance. I'm glad I only ordered samples because, imo, it's not. I think it would have benefitted from a creamy note in the mix.

Could it be that you are "noseblind" to certain types of ambroxan? Those 'artificial' molecules are much bigger and sometimes too big for some people to smell (they don't properly "dock onto" the receptors in your nose due to size). A13 is the only ambroxan I can smell and boy, is it strong and long lasting. However, I cannot smell Baccarat Rouge, JHAG Not a perfume or Essentric Molecule 02 due to their specific type of ambroxan.

I think that's the point of niche fragrance houses at this price point is all about though. They're not supposed to be mass appealling. It's supposed to get polarizing. Otherwise it's just another designer fragrance house that's mass produced for the masses that don't really have any character or uniqueness to the scent. Now, i'm not saying that the designer fragrances are bad obviously but they're made to sell on a larger scale. So it has to appeal to as many people as they can. But for the niche houses, they're trying to appeal to the small population who want something that's different, polarizing, unique and something that has a little more depth and complexity to their fragrances.

Not worth the hype. I just received my 'custom made" bottle of Santal 33 and I'm so disappointed: I was looking forward to this sandalwood bomb and I don't get any sandalwood. All I get is oud, leather and a strong peppery note. Plus, it only lasts three hours on me, if that. It's extremely masculine on me but because of the price, I have to layer it with my musk oil and this is more pleasing to my nose.
