I was able to grab shiny shadow Gligar and Teddiursa like 30 mins after the event started. Guess I was primed for those, Teddi I had an idea I was due I hit that one hard when Arlo had it back in April 2023. Gligar, just pure luck and RNG....my first 2 from grunts so I started out strong. So far I cleared 14 Arlo, 4 Sierra and 10 Cliff and was able to get a 15 attack Bagon (255 CP). I'll be hitting it hard tomorrow, hitting the train to Chicago and museum areas. On other shiny notes, I got a Joltik today (finish fam!) and my 3rd Lunatone. Was also able to purify a hundo Houndour (for the mega), hundo Skrelp from research and wild hundo Ralts.

Yeah i got both the zubat and tentacool, but i really only wanted the bagon. Such is life 😅After watching this....holy was I beyond lucky. I've maybe done 20-30 bosses since event started (all 3 included)

Only some specific pokemon from grunts can be shiny. But I think the odds for them to be shiny are lower than 1/64

You have to equip a rocket radar and they will show up at pokestops and timed balloons but for grunts they can be in balloons and stops without a radar
