To minimize the glue needed or for corals that aren't easy to stick or just hate glue, Coral Krates are awesome. Definitely be an idea to get those for the store :) Basically they're little cups on plug posts. Drop a tiny piece of rubble in it (they're really small, would be nice to have a slightly bigger version), add the coral on top, and then you can put the cover on if you want. They have slits for water flow.

Is it safe to add dead or uncycled plugs to a tank? I always have some in my tank that I have added little by little but I am wanting to change out a lot of plugs at once plugs on a bunch of high end zoas and I i want to label them with a sharpie so they need to be dry! I have alway heard not to add sand that was alive ect so thats why I am wondering. I a also wanting to start a frag tank and add some rubble to my sump to cycle it for use in my future frag tank, is that safe? I have added a few pieces and now I have some dying coral! Maybe thats why! I id have a torch fall in the sand a few days then I placed it back up where it used to be, maybe I needed to acclimate it back to the spot it was in b4 it feel!

We typically don't notice a huge issue if you don't "cure" the plugs ahead of time. Maybe some funky diatoms in the early going, but that's super easy to clean off with a toothbrush.

Can we get a video about the ESHOPPS PF series HOB Overflow? I have a 125g tank and I want to put a sump system on it but I can’t drill my tank for it. Looking for info about the product and how to set it up properly.

I just bought it a couple weeks ago, what info are you looking for? Edit: and I put it on my fresh water 125 and my fish are loving the upgrade from an old magnum 350 canister
@bbybby913 жыл бұрын
@@matthew7073 is set up fairly easy? and would the PF-1000 be adequate for a 125? I do plan on keeping my fluval 407 canister on it unless I wouldn’t need to.

@@bbybby91 i have the pf1200 on my 125. It does take a little bit of tuning and I did have to make my own stockman pipes for the over flow box to quite it down because the tradition sponge around the pcs pipe just wasn't quite enough to have the tank in the room where I watch tv. You will also want to use union joints on the pipes heading down to your sump they really do help, and I would suggest using some channel lock pliers to tighten the bulkhead a little bit tighter than finger tight because when I put mine on there was a leak that occured with just find tightening. On the bottom of the bulkhead you will need to cement a short piece of pvc pipe to a union so the pipe can be moved incase you need to do maintance to the box or if you need to move the tank. Also using pvc cement whether the clear or purple kind will help you create a water tight seal around the pipes. And give it 24 hours to dry and cure. Also you will want to watch the plumbing play list from BRS they go over a lot, they just didn't go over the stockman standpipe and I had to find other resources for that one

@@bbybby91 As far as the 1000 being enough I thank it depends on what type of tank you have. What do you mainly have stocked in there? Also do you have any power heads? That would be something to take into consideration dont want you blasting any corals that cant take a alot of flow

Why does no one make a frag plug with an easy break away stem (ie w/ pliers)? It seams like a no-brainer

Can I put them into my guppy tank? They looks beautiful.

These are for saltwater. Get some freshwater rocks
@DeadTreeDropOff3 жыл бұрын
@@ce6311 idk, I’m going to buy some and put them in and see. I think adding some salt to the water should be ok.
@BRStv3 жыл бұрын
These corals will need salinity levels of at least 32 ppt to do well. While some guppies can be acclimated to saltwater, we wouldn't recommend adding corals to your tank.
@ce63113 жыл бұрын
@@DeadTreeDropOff I’m confused, you wanting to buy corals? Or the rock plugs that they come on? I still wouldn’t do either. There’s better options for freshwater. Look up red lava rock rubble, or even lace rock - both come from freshwater environments.
