Nice one man! Never too old to start skating! I'm half a century old and still skate. It keeps me alive! That mini looks so fun!

Absolutely! I'm amazed by the age range when I go to the park. Most of the skaters are older these days as the kids seem to prefer scooters! That mini is nice, I skated a new one this week which was a bit higher... its perfect! Vid out next week 😉

Man great session! Everyone was killin it, including the lil grom. Gives me hope for when I have grandkids, I'm ready to be the skating pops lol. I dig @Sk8Comeback vibe as well. Your tunes were on point. I actually priced the materials for a similar ramp today, 8' wide. I really need one, like bad.

It's a great ramp for learning on, would be sick to have your own! Thanks for the kind words!

Thanks! Half of the park was closed due to the construction work but it was great to have only the mini ramp to focus on!! Appreciate the support 😄

Destroying that mini Scott, 360 rocks were so sick. You can see how much comfy you are with your tricks too mate. Music was rad, you are insanely talented bud.

Thanks mate!! I'm definitely feeling more confident, like rock to fakies and tail stalls are just set up tricks now rather than the main event!

You can tell, also what you were saying about the slow drop in, that makes a massive difference, feeling comfy night to control that speed from the off.
@DadLeisureSkateboarding2 ай бұрын
@@KieranClarkSkates Yeah I agree, I skated the new mini at Graystone this week which is a bit higher (id say in-between the two at Ramp1) so it is perfect for me. And that slow controlled drop in helped a lot!

Your good on that mini ramp, I have just barely started messing with transition it feels way sketchy to me, but you have it down nicely my friend!
@DadLeisureSkateboarding2 ай бұрын
It has taken me a long time to get this confident. It used to terrify me and I took some big slams early on. Still does scare me to be honest!! Be cool to see you get going with it though Wes!
@tomf40872 ай бұрын
It may seem like a smaller mini ramp, or micro ramp is easier to skate that a larger mini, say 4 or 5 feet high, but its not really. Often the transition is a tad too tight, but also when your front wheels are at coping, your back wheels are near flat bottom. This makes certain tricks much more difficult. Micro is great to learn basics on and grinds etc. Getting tech with flips is much harder, leaving little room for error and no adjustment time coming down transition. In late 90s early 00s we had a micro in a night club in Leicester. It would take visitors a while to get used too, and we had a no drink rule while on ramp. Had some great nights with rock and hip hop bands which could get messy. Some comps we had, u had to have a shot before drop in. This was Leicester but also had ramp in rock city in Nottingham for certain nights. Keep up the skating, its surprising how quickly u can get good on minis. I skated street for years before deciding to master mini. Id be there but for bad injuries. Miss it loads.

@tomf4087 Awesome man thanks for the comment. I am from Leicester myself! Moved up north 10 years ago! I agree these micro ramps can be vicious and very whippy too. There is a slightly taller one that I skated this week at another park that will be in next weeks video which is perfect. I can skate the bigger one at this skatepark... but the speed takes some adjusting to and mentally I find it harder to commit. Sick that you are from Leicester... I only ever street skated there never skated park til last year
