I've played this game countless times, as a kid and an adult, and I'm still so incredibly excited to play it again. Every time I see footage of the remake I get more excited. I hope it sells well and solidifies the future of the franchise. Imagine how exciting a new entry would be if we knew they were taking it back to it's roots 🥰

This is the 30 FPS people were crying about?! Dude, this is way faster than the GameCube! I wonder if it's just the overworld that's 30 FPS. There's going to be a lot more going on out in the field compared to a literal battle stage.

Game looks really nice and it's actually more or less the same as the gamecube. Only in select segments was the gamecube 30FPS. I personally think 30 is inexcusable but it's not like the game is Unplayable or anything like that.

My only complaint is the extremely shiny floors compared to the original. That's my only complaint, and even then it's so minor that it won't affect my enjoyment. I'm just hoping they don't make it easy like they did with the super mario rpg remake. Edit: the shiny floor issue i have is just in battle

FPS has nothing to do with speed, nor does the framerate the video was uploaded at have any visual impact. I do agree though that the war between the two versions need to stop: they can coexist without one needing to be definitively better than the other. We need to just take it for what it is, a refreshing revisit for some and a valid introduction for others.

It honestly depends. Some games GENUINELY don’t need 60FPS, as with some games it is just jarring not to have it. With this game it’s a paper aesthetic…I’m pretty sure 30FPS is perfect for the theme
