Thank you for the detailed analysis and breakdown of PC parts. Sorry, This question has nothing to do with this particular video but I enjoyed the ramble. I just bought most of my parts yesterday for my very first PC build. I have put together a PC build for my use case of 60% video editing in Davinci Resolve and other free editing software. 40% gaming, Streaming.------- Parts List: CPU: Intel i9 9900k ($484.99) to take advantage of the higher clock speeds. CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S ($79.90) With 1× add’l NF-A15 Chromax 120mm Cooler fan. ($22.90) Push/Pull? or Pull/Pull? GPU: Asus Geforce RTX2080 GDDR6 - ROG Strix OC edition ($799.99) Noticed a performance spec boost from closed to open. I wanted to take advantage of the specs based on my current plans in not adding a 2nd GPU. Memory: 32GB Corsair Vengeance LPX Kit DDR4-3200 ($189.99)White kit Storage SSD: Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB SATA ($147.99) OS/ Applications Storage PCIe-SSD: Samsung SSD 970 Evo Plus 1TB, M.2 ($247.99) Active Work/ Scratch Storage HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4TB, 256MB Cache ($99.99) Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 Designare ATX ($269.99) Power Supply: EVGA Supernova 850 G3, Plus Gold, Fully Modular ($137.93) Case: Cooler Master Mid-Tower H500M ($189.99) Case Fans: 3× Noctua NF-S12A Black Chromax 120mm fans ($68.00) installed to the top for exhaust. Living in a small rental appt with young children my focus is on acoustics and performance. With my research Noctua seems to have the best acoustics and performance in the air market. Total: $2740 With my zero PC experience I tried to put together a PC that can last me 5 plus years. The one question I have is in regards to the motherboard: " Gigabyte Z390 Designare" there seems to be very little information and reviews about this board however Gigabyte is advertising this board as a content Creators motherboard. Having no experience in editing but inspiring to do so. I wanted to know if you feel that this board is the right pick for me or if you have a better option. Feel free to comment or make any suggestions on this build. Every part is returnable. Thank you for your time. Love your videos, Keep up the great work.

Actually Hardcore Overclocking : the cooling on this 2x GPU-s in SLI Geforce Titan Z that has an AVERAGE CALCULATED TDP of 375 Watts and they've put 1 x 92 mm fan on it. Well that's a prime example of underdesigned cooling for any kind of scenario usage. With R9 295X2 you got also 2 GPU-s in crossfire you got 1x 92 mm fan and a water cooling loop that actually got that beast tamed. But even that one was too of an experimental card. Neither of these were ever a good buy due to the sheer fact that SLI/NVlink or Crossfire scaling is really bad for the past 7-8 years.

@ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking5 жыл бұрын
not really the 690 is much more similar to the GTX 590(PCB wise) than to the Titan.
@AaronAverett5 жыл бұрын
@@ActuallyHardcoreOverclocking I meant the individual components, many of which appear to be the same or similar on your Titan Z as I have on my pile of 690s. The layout is obviously different, although this looks like an obvious evolution of the 690, to me. On this subject, I think I've reached out to you about this before, but one thing I've noticed about my 690s is that different vendors seem to have used different components, even though they're all technically the reference design. For instance, while Dell's cards match the picture you find if you google "GTX 690 PCB," PNY's use a different power stage for the VCore VRM. When I noticed this, it made me wonder if it might be worth looking at whether some reference boards are better than others.

This is one of the reasons why I don't really like 3dmark that much when it comes to who gets the best scores. Most people won't be doing such modifications to this extreme to be able to even get the scores up high. They should have a totally separate application for extreme overclockers. I mean soldering new capacitors on is basically changing the card to something else. But that's my opinion.
