I purchased the Salty before seeing this video. Confirmation bias. Thanks. R5C Boosted. Insane water housing.

I would say they admitted it. I have a few thousand dollars In Aqua Tech gear, and I am fearful to use it.

Hi James, somehow I never came across Liquid Eye in my research. Thanks of bringing that to my attention and wish you well with it. Enjoy the water.

Hello my friend, I am writing to you from Costa Rica. 100% lover of the sea and photography. Maybe it's a little late for my comment, but! Why didn't you think of LUMIX cameras? and Salty Housing manufacture for lumix, they have gh4 and gh5, perhaps today they have been updated. I consider that lumix cameras are one step ahead of Sony and any other. I use SPL HOUSING, soon to change, spl has remained in time, with the use of controls and evolve in everything. Remember that aquatech is made of ABS plastic and Satl and Spl in soft aluminum, they are much more resistant, and the front part makes them much safer than aquatech latches. It is better to take a while to assemble the equipment, than place 4 hooks and that's it. I agree with you in your explanation. Regards!!

Woah, I’m surprised that you think the Aquatech is better built than the salty surf; I’m torn between the two for my A7Siii & A7Riv. Aloha from big island 🤙🏽

Aloha Micah - thanks for watching my channel and leaving the comment. To be clear, what I mean by better build is that ports and zoom gears are much easier to use with aquatech than Salty. I forgot to mention in the video but the Salty zoom gear for my 70-200 lens is partially made of cheap rubber bands. I've had to replace them on my own as they don't last long. The Salty gear for my wide angle I had to boil in hot water so I could stretch it to get on my lens and now it won't come off - will need to cut it off at some point. But all in all - I prefer Salty over Aquatech. Good luck in your purchase. What type of water photography you doing?

@@enjoylivinginhawaii thanks for clarifying! Crazy you had to boil the wide angle gear 🤯 I currently do on shore surf photography, but I’ve been wanting to get into the water with my 16-35 and shoot surfers up close; that and hoping to do underwater portraits

@@EpitomePax Nice - good luck and enjoy the water. If you want to share - where do you normally do surf photography on big island?
@EpitomePax3 жыл бұрын
@@bryanv5926 thanks! Waipio valley, Pine trees, and honoli’i. I’m actually hoping to get to Oahu this winter to shoot a surf competition, that would be pretty fun 🤙🏽

@@EpitomePax Thanks for the info. I've only been to big island once and went to honoli'i - I'll have to check out the others next time. It you make it to oahu this winter, you are welcome to contact me and you can try out my Salty housing if you want.

Is your Aquatech housing still available for sale?
@enjoylivinginhawaii3 жыл бұрын
That housing has been sold. Nice pics on your website and inspiring to read that you had the courage to make photography a career and that you are loving it. I've yet to make that leap - still not fully confident of my skills. Take care and thanks for watching my channel - aloha
