I agree, one of the all time great recording artists but can't bare to listen to his live performances. He takes out all his best hooks!

Well, I think it's often a trade-off with him, he could be pretty lax with his original melodies and get a bit bombastic, but what a performer! I'll probably do a follow-up about specific melodic hooks he only performed on stage (on "Time" for instance).

@@darthzoidberg I get he was a very good performer but personally I’m a man of simple tastes. I like to hear the songs I know recreated exactly as I know them
