Because of your videos I have recovered the visors in my 85 T/A with suade along with the T top headliner. with acceptable success my restore will be complete before the end of the summer if it ever gets out of paint!

What type of board did you use? I got foam that i bought at Michael’s. I am using suede (not the real one) with foam backing. Would the same process you’re using apply to suede?

Question doesn’t the leather have contact cement well ?
@mattkaiser483610 ай бұрын
The screen door tool seems to really clean up the grooves.
@overthefendergarage10 ай бұрын
It really works great you can apply a good amount of pressure and not worried about scratching the leather and to push it into the glue.

How do you cut the foam and what size gap did you make it? What is the little green pointer thing your using
@overthefendergarage Жыл бұрын
With a good sharp straight razor it cuts pretty easily gaps about a 3\32 then sanded at a 45* angle making it about 1/4 inch when finished, The green thing is a window pick used to install the rubber gaskets works great for upholstery too! Rich

Essa é uma falha de muitos. Usa um material nobre com um acabamento barato. Poderia ter usado presilha.
