Because most of Disney’s best animated feature length films made during Walt’s life time, were made in the 1930’s and 1940’s. Wizard of Oz was released in 1939.

Gonna be honest: Given how Judy Garland's life turned out (dead in a hotel room in London at 47, possible suicide) - this is probably an accurate representation of her internal state. Search up "Judy Garland Speaks" - audio recordings she created for an autobiography that never happened. She was very angry and sad.

Please remind other faithful & righteous people for the end times is so close now. Kindly urgent people and suffer us of exhortation to warn everybody and get many people as we can to repent & follow the way of Jesus. For the darkness came not but to steal out in the name of false sense of security and fatal temptations like a thief in the night. WAKE UP ye sleeping lullabies! Everybody that heard me right now, if you already had chosen the path you want to go in this spiritual battle that we're in, please stay vigilant and never to lose faith, LOVE ONE ANOTHER and DON'T LEAVE our Brothers and Sisters alone! Leave NOBODY behind! Believers or Unbelievers it doesn't matter For our Father God so loved the WORLD that He gave us His Only Begotten Son so that our Soul can be redeem Worthy of Salvation from the sinful way of the life of Death. We gotta go now, REFRAIN EVERYTHING that is WORDLY in nature and those that are of IN FLESHLY LUST as for now PLEASE. Those cannot trade you with the gift of Repentance until the door of our probation is forever wide shut and The Grace of God shall no longer be around. NOW.

Imagine a version of Wizard of Oz where the song is featured exclusively in minor key. The overture? Minor key. The several times the leitmotif shows up? Minor key. Save for one. Dorothy wakes up in Kansas, but something is off. There's color. As the instrumental for "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" plays in the background. At long last it's happy. The way Dorothy views her home has changed. She now sees the color, realizing that she's surrounded by the people she loves. And as the credits roll in a beautiful grand instrumental of "Somewhere" Dorothy realizes, There's no place like HOME...
