Your ability to drive while also capturing those cinematic drone shots is deeply impressive!

I agree, though I’m pretty sure most high quality drones have an auto track / fly feature

@@FreeRange4x4 They do, but the results aren't as smooth as his footage. Using active track tends to "rubber band" your vehicle around on the screen slightly.

100% agree with you using the tools at hand. For sure, 4lo is much more smoother and controlled over rough terrain. Engine braking is a huge safety addition on steep descents 👍. Still have a few hard nosed ppl that don’t believe in airing down, though I think they just don’t want to buy a compressor 😂

I think you’re right! They’re too cheap to buy a good compressor or too lazy to wait on it!

Of all the places where my wife and I have done overlanding trips, Oregon is her favorite! BTW, it’s now VERY comfortable in Southern California! Same weather ever day - highs in the mid 70s, lows in the 50s!

Excellent video Rob. We’re from Grants Pass, Oregon and love watching travels in our own backyard. We think we recognized that lookout and that gate is always locked. I ride that area a lot on the motorcycle and love it. Thank you for taking us along for the ride

You’re in my backyard. I’m surprised you didn’t see more people, as that’s a popular backcountry road trip to the coast from Grants Pass. Many of the fire lookouts in Oregon are available to rent out for overnight stays. Glad you like it here in Oregon.

Hey Rob, how would you rate the Alu-cab? Ive been looking at them lately, they seem like a great option. Any regrets not going with the 6foot bed?
@RevereOverland
@RevereOverland 3 ай бұрын
Love it! The only thing that might be better is a 4WC, but that's a whole different animal. I have the 5.5' bed, and rented one with a 6.5' bed, but really didn't see a huge difference. The 6.5' model is actually only ~8" longer in the cabin, and there's about a 4~ overhang. The extra ~4" storage space under the edge of the cabin is good for power stuff maybe.
