You can mount an Xi3 on any of the major brands of kayak without voiding the warranty. There are multiple companies that make mounts using existing holes in the kayak.

You make some amazing stuff! For the lvs34 transducer. A company called Fishing Specialties makes a kayak & boat version transducer poles. They also have a lvs 32 & 34 transducer mount. It connects directly below & in live with the pole. That would have worked too. The mount is basically a small ram ball with 2 plates. One to connect to pole & other to transducer. It also allows for infinite angle adjustments for the transducer which is great for perspective mode for different depths

As I’m sure you already know but you can put socks ( not sure what they are really called ) on the anchors in deep water to help control the ass end when using the spot lock on the front

Really cool, did you consider what would happen if you fell onto the livescope pole. That top with the "arrow" seems like it would want to impale you if you planted your hand onto the ii to stabilize yourself from wake or rogue wave.

Pedal drive does much better in wind vs paddle only kayak. The paddle becomes the limiting factor because it becomes a mini sail. I have fished easily on windy days while paddle kayaks struggled.

Do u take on full projects.. I have a 15 foot Jackson kayak and would love to have an overhaul to it and find someone who has the ingenuity and tools and design capability’s to turn it into something way better then a paddle kyak. Otherwise get rid of it and get a small micro skiff type watercraft. But I’d rather keep it and turn it into something like this. This is a serious inquiry and I’m open to all ideas and suggestions. It would be a bigger project due to needing basically everything( trolling motor batteries, lights , wireing etc.

It does have a PWM, just with eight speeds. Minnkota does the same thing, but they have 10.

Btw $700 for this unit, plus trolling motor, plus battery, plus figuring out how to mount it yourself, your still basically at about $1200 give or take. A real spotlock motor is not much more than that, and this product may drive those prices down to compete. If this motor unit was more like $300-400 it would be worth it. Not sure this is worth it at that price point which is way inflated.
