What are your thoughts on the final results of the plumbing? Too much? Just Right? Also, keep an eye on the channel for our Chevelle rebuild videos-we're just getting started with the project. Right now, I'm focused on keeping the car running and on the road so Trevor and I can enjoy it a bit before we dive into extensive sheet metal replacement to tackle all the rust. If you appreciate the attention to detail and meticulous work I've put into the boat build, you'll see the same dedication and precision in the Chevelle restoration. Stay tuned for more updates and join us on this exciting journey! ~ Nick

Plumbing is fantastic. I like toned down colors, maybe all black or natural on the fittings but who the hell am I to say! I have nothing this neat! I was thinking of you waxing that glossy bilge..lol!

and your hand fabrication is fantastic. Hole saws, sanding, filing, grinding! I would go to my machinist buddy! he can machine anything. Great to see you passing on your craft to your son. I learned holding a flashlight for my dad, my son learned hanging with me playing with everything from cars, my old diesel boat, RC airplanes of all sizes, now 100 plus wingspan. In a year he will be an aircraft mechanic! simply priceless skills good for both a career and just good for the brain and body!

I'm with you. Eventually, I would like to purge the boat of all the red and blue fittings and have everything to be polished. Just more things to add to the future "To-Do" list. ~ Nick

Hey Nick, I wanted to reach out and say the plumbing is spot on 👍🏼 I do agree some failures are necessary to come to the final conclusion as it’s part of the learning process. There’s always more than one way to accomplish a task. I wish I could send to pictures of the rigging and machine work of my late friends Mandella flat bottom. EVERYTHING is one of a kind and done by hand or Bridgeport to perfection. You would enjoy it. I could talk for hours about it. All the rigging and machine work was done by Carson Brummett, a true master of his craft.

It’s coming along very nicely! I really like the bilge pump brackets you made. Now it’s time to figure out where you’re going to route the wiring? 🤘
@AutoTechNick3 ай бұрын
I am honestly at a loss on how/ where I want to run the wiring in the bilge. I wish I considered that before I did all the gelcoat work. 🤷♂️ I'll figure something out. ~ Nick

Looks great!! I think the hoses for your bilge pump are on the small side for being 1100 gph
@AutoTechNick3 ай бұрын
They are. I ordered those first. Then when I went to get the water fittings the largest I could find them in was a -10. I'll run it as is for now. If I need to upsize the line to a -12, I will have to order larger fittings for the transom and weld on a -12 an end on them. ~ Nick
@JacobCoombs-q7x3 ай бұрын
@@AutoTechNick i think that is still small, but may work since you are running 2 pumps. Accidents happen and hate to see it lost if you need those pumps to keep it afloat. Your build is awesome! Be cool to see it all done and on the water.
@mannydakilla21153 ай бұрын
Super clean ! Love the channel. By the way what are the washers called that are holding the pump to the transome ?

What’s the “metal router tool”. Pneumatic chamfer tool? What were your settings? I like the look.
@AutoTechNick3 ай бұрын
I suppose Phenmatic Chmfer tool, would be a better or more accurate name for it. It is infinitely adjustable. I usually set the depth based on aesthetics. I just set it by eye for what will look best on the part. ~ Nick
