Sometimes if I get tired of crocheting, I’ll swap to knitting for a little while and vice versa. Sometimes it also helps to try to make something new. I love to start new projects and then I get tired of them. But, then it feels good to finish them. The middle of the project is the hardest for me. Thank you for the videos.❤

Hi Jen, I do washcloths, bowl cozies and book marks when I'm tired of big projects. I am in love with the Book bookies. I've done all but 3. The bear, the fox and the cat. Fun!! Take care and stay safe ❤

I know what you mean. When I get that way I take a few days to a week and then make something smaller. That usually does the trick. It's really ok for you to take a break! If you only want to come out and talk, then do so. If you only want to make a dishcloth, then do that.😊 It's always harder after the Christmas holidays. 💝 Wishing you a beautiful blessed day and weekend!🙏🏻🤗💖

I understand about the burnout. It hit me with work and craft. Slowly get craft back and sometimes its there and other times it's not. 😊. I can unserstand why would and others qould get it when you have a channel to keep up and its your work and craft too. 😊
@nancythomas195413 күн бұрын
I made 1 sweater, 6 cardigans, 2 scarfs and 5 hats from Sept to now. Burnout just doesn't do it justice LOL I want to do something else and have several, non crochet, projects lined up but not the room to do them. So I am sitting here with Super Saver Jumbo Stripes in primary colors and a 5mm hook and I am making a rug. It is so hard to use Super Saver after you have spent months using Puzzle yarn and squishy soft yarn. I am making a rug because I found a cool stitch that is perfect for it. Will I finish it? Probably but it may take awhile as I will probably need to do it between other things as it is hard on my hands. Much love my dear Jen. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Good advice. I'm not having this problem this year. I think it's because I didn't make a bunch of Christmas presents last year. Between vitamin D3, full spectrum light bulbs 💡 ✨️, and sporadic sunshine, my SAD has been manageable. 😊 Enjoy the weekend!

I'm late watching this. Still trying to finish taking down Christmas at my house. I already did the three rooms at church and my MIL's house. I'm always last. 🙄 I haven't crocheted since the middle of December or earlier. I've got to get back on track!

I hear Bentley 😂😂😂😂 I’m experiencing what you did when you traveled , I did not bring enough yarn ! The Joann store just closed totally before I got here . I’m in a tiny little military town in the middle of the Mojave desert . Only source for yarn is Walmart ! For a yarn addict to be here is tragic 😂😂😂😂 ! I leave on Sunday to go back to OKC . Boy I miss my Hobby Lobby stores there . Tomorrow we are going to Death Valley National park , so I have that . Yarn starvation !😂😂😂

When I get crochet block, I pick up another craft, preferably one with yarn but not always. Lately I've been using my Addi because we have a cold snap coming and there are groups in my area who are asking for warm things, hats, scarves, blankets if I get really motivated, but I make a couple of scarves and hats a day. It helps thin out my overwhelming stash and helps others. I'm still handling yarn and have completed things to bolster my confidence. That's just what works for me, this time anyway.

I've been doing plastic canvas buildings the past month or so to keep the creative juices flowing. Still don't want to pick up a crochet hook but just ordered some 8mm knitting needles to make myself a hat in Spice Shop Saffron. also bought some nice thick yellow yarn from Hobby Lobby and I may just knit the brim and crochet the actual hat in Saffron. Who knows? Not me! 😅 Anyway I have a cute bunny village growing.

Also started the Ethan blanket queen size Tunisian stitch I had to learn Christmas present for my youngest son. No pressure cause I take time off from them in summer and I make smaller items.
