I enjoyed that very much. His honesty was refreshing. It's much easier to talk to people you don't know it's the people you work with or see around town that are more difficult. God help me to love my neighbor

Why Jesus is important to me: (1)While we all deserved judgement, God sent Jesus to be the way of forgiveness because He loves us. (2) Through the Holy Spirit Jesus changes me to become more like Him in my thoughts and actions. (3) He provides for me an eternal hope that is not reliant upon things our current circumstance.

Great sermon to start my day with thankyou! If I may offer my humble opinion I believe that Paul states that he's the worst sinner in 1 Timothy because of the damage he had done to the early churches and having many Christians killed. He was like a pitbull Christian terminator until Jesus himself appeared to him on the road to Damascus. The gratitude and love he felt for Christ from that day forward is evident all through the epistles he wrote.

It was The early church era paul was a chosen vessel made willing By God to preach the gospel He had special power in as much as the viper didn't harm him We today aren't given that same power as we can't expect to tempt God by the Act of picking up poisonous Snakes!

What does it mean when people say ”God told me to tell you”? Like how did he tell you?

You most of the time get a feeling combined with understanding about what is going on with the person in front of you, and the common theme is that it will free people from suffering, confusion, and deception and show them that The Father is real and wants us to live righteously.

That someone feels the conviction to preform an action they know to be in the Will of God. This being commanded in Matthew 28:18-19. Basically Piper knows it is God’s Will for people to hear the gospel of Christ, and his conscious continually demanded that it be done, and so it becomes evident that God wants it brought about through his obedience. Thats what I suspect in this specific case, but you see how it’s unique in this instance whereas Piper does not have some continual conviction nudging at him to minister to every single human being walking by, but with this neighbor he did.

The Bible. I’ve NEVER heard an audible of God’s voice. Absolutely never. But I’m aware of his commands and his will through simply reading and trusting the Bible which is the Word Of God. If you want to hear God speak, read the Bible. If you don’t want to hear him speak, don’t read the Bible. Everything he has said, is saying in the present and will say in the future is literally in the Bible.

God brings someone to mind (or into your presence), you think about that person, what you know or feel about them, in the light of scripture. God places a conviction on your heart to communicate something or to inquire how they are doing. You might pray and ask God “I feel like you want me to ___ for so and so, is that true?” Then later you might read the Bible and a verse hits you in the heart and you know it’s about that person. Recently a relative I haven’t seen in 15 years texted me out of the blue and said he was in town. I know that he claims to be a Christian but he has some mental health issues that seem spiritual. I knew he was coming to visit me for a reason. I prayed and asked God to please use me to help him in some way. It turns out he is hearing demonic voices when he prays and his salvation is doubtful. I’m the only Christian he’s been able to talk to about his problem because I gave him my testimony which includes interacting with demons when I was a New Ager and he wasn’t afraid I’d think he’s crazy. It was one of the most spiritually powerful experiences I’ve ever had when we prayed for him, for deliverance and salvation - the three of us that were there praying could feel the Holy Spirit. After being saved for a while and through studying the word, prayer and sanctification you can start to recognize God’s Providence and understand somewhat where he’s leading you. That’s been my experience anyway.
