Glad you’re back, yesterday crossed 11months! So only be fitting that you’ll be one of the first I’ll share my 1yr off the sauce next month message with, as loved the videos and interviews, I even bought the Clare Pooley Sober Diaries book which was a great laugh reading! All the interviews were great! There is definitely very different types of drinkers so good you had such a wide variety of guests on to connect with people whose experience was more like theirs. I have a mate who quit 6months ago whose story was very different to mine as locked himself away with it all, very similar to Kirk but I was defo more in love with being out and social. Plus was a party boy in my time so loved seeing Brandon on as being from the old clubbing days (loved his Fantazia mixes etc), I do feel I’ve done the lot too! Keep it up, you’ve defo helped me and no doubt countless others! Big Up!

😎it’s crazy I always think it’s just me with these thoughts especially on a Friday when all I want to do is get a beer down me, but the last few weeks I’ve arranged other things with my wife and kids and it’s been great. I’ve been out twice with friends and stayed sober and spoke to them the day after whilst there ruff and it’s been a top feeling that and I’m trying to bottle that feeling and remember that it feels great not being ruff and that outweighs the getting pissed 💯

The scariest thing for me about being sober is the thought of relapsing, I try not to focus on it as it's not healthy, but the thought or fecking up scares me to the core. I got sober for the first time last year, I managed 3 months. I relapsed for 1yr, in and out of A&E with withdrawals, nearly dying from drinking so much, and then I managed to get sober again 113 days ago, and it's different this time, I thought the first time around I would never go back to drinking and then I did, so this time around knowing that I can relapse is better, but it's so scary. But life is very good, I'm happy, I'm healthy, my sons are happy and proud. I'm moving forward in life and doing good things. This podcast helps remind me that others are literally dealing with the exact same thought, mental isn't it.

Cannabis should stopped being looked at as being 'high' when it has been used medically around the world and in uk since 2018 which im using for my adhd epilepsy and depression legally and i am 2 years sober from 10 years of daily cocaine ketamine and benzo abuse.
