I cried like a baby while reading the final pages. I loved listening to your discussion and recalling its beautiful themes.

Perelandra is probably the most readable and gripping book in the space trilogy, a really good conversation about it!

Once again, this conversation was far too short 😂 I just read the first two of the space trilogy for the first time (just started the last!) and I’m desperate to talk about it with more people (that is to say, everyone 😂) But alas, it seems that those of us who have read and enjoyed this series find, like Tolkien, that our “…taste is not normal.” 😜 hoping to get the last book read before y’alls next video!

I love Perelandra. I like happy endings.

Q: what is the youngest age person that the space trilogy could be profitably read to? Thank you
@kyrstenwilson31112 ай бұрын
@@orthodoxboomergrandma3561 I think it depends on the kid and the kinds of things they enjoy. I enjoyed them a lot at 10-12. Book one reads like a pretty straightforward 50's/60's adventure science fiction novel. Book two has a LOT of poetic language in it, and my more literal-minded family members didn't like it much. Book three is actually scary in spots and also involves a strained marriage and adult themes that may not be very interesting or appropriate for a younger child.

Hey Serro, do you have any thoughts on “generational curses” and the idea of bad spirits being attached to a family line? It’s something that Charismatic/pentecostal types put a lot of emphasis on, but I’m not really sure what the Orthodox view is on this matter.
@quentandil2 ай бұрын
@@CopeandSeethe325 This is unrelated to the video, but according to Orthodox and Catholic doctrine, generational curses are nonsense. Family members are indeed connected, but such idea is against God's love for His children.
