Honestly it was really great for me to hear about Jon's picky food palette because I VERY much relate to that myself. I lowkey feel guilty when we have family meals and my mom or dad has to make something that is different from what everyone else is eating because I don't like it. I don't really know many people who have a picky food palette in my life so its reassuring for me to know that I'm not the only one.

I used to have a ridiculously picky palate as a kid. That changed during my teen years, both from ordering a marmitex (Brazilian full meal in takeout form) while at school with a lot of stuff I didn't like and no way to get anything else, and guilt at seeing my mother work her ass off during mornings, afternoons and evenings (one full time job plus a side gig) from Monday to Friday to put food on the table. Nowadays, I'm proud to say I will eat ANYTHING that is available, and if it's "exotic" I'll at least give the good old college try. Tomato, bellpepper, cow paunch and tongue, even _pequi_ (a sweet little fruit with a VERY strong smell, commonly cooked with rice and chicken). As long as you don't royally fuck up the recipe, I will eat without complaints.

@@wildcard7449 Thanks, dude ☺️ I have a suggestion for (re)introducing yourself to different foods and spices: try them in radically different dishes. For example, I used to not stand green bellpepper until I ate it raw in a salad and the flavor + crunchiness won me over, and I didn't like tomato until its juiciness came to the forefront on an otherwise very dry chicken pot pie. In the same vein, pure arugula goes amazing with rice.

@@wildcard7449 same here. I actually did research on this a while back and think I have something from childhood called ARFID, it's a legit thing and lots struggle with it. Try being poor. Unwittingly ordering a plate of perfectly good stuff that you don't like is a great eye-opener. It taught me to eat arugula. @@kameronhall4448 Try different combinations. And even less so when he started living with Reese I imagine. Still, I imagine he’s still got foods/restaurants that he won’t touch with a yard stick like that one Steak n’ Shake. 0:10 A host, eh? Might explain where Tom got his “gentleman” persona when he role plays characters in-oh, not that kind of “host”. I can believe that. Getting good authentic Mexican food in the US can be tough depending on which state you live in. Same goes for most Asian food. 3:57 Hearing that as an Asian makes me sad, but it’s understandable. Sometimes the spices are too strong or the final product don’t hit quite right and almost tastes fake if that makes sense, especially if the restaurant serving that isn’t authentic. 4:02 I mean if her time living in Japan and the crab slaughter of 2018 with Masae are anything to go by... Hopefully Tom was jotting down notes during this, because this is some good insight into how his now-employees behave at their most productive. 6:05 There is something satisfying about pressing buttons in timing with something else whether it’s an animation or the music. One of my favorite things in most any Mega Man game is firing along to the music during lulls in the action. I think Jon and Tom quoted the Dover Boys the last time Tom recorded with TRG. The Dover Boys reanimated is still one of the best reanimated collab projects to date, just behind Mama Luigi in my opinion. 7:44 It’s not like you were the only one who thought Iron Man was created for that movie, Emile, but most of the people who thought that were probably far younger than you were in ‘04.

Wow, winning while arguing about something completely unrelated to the gameplay is really something, good job. Also yeah, unless you go visit the countryside, in Japan you can eat anything you want, the variety is crazy, they even got some things that aren't available both in America and Europe. If I were you Jon, I wouldn't completely dismiss Japanese cuisine, unless you've already tried everything, because there's a lot of variety in there and you might find something that you really like.

Well ya. Jon and Emile bet the channel at one point during Mario party. Still wondering how that went down with Tim afterwards.

something is under copyright for 75 years after the creator's death, *unless a company owns the copyright* if a company has a hold on it the company is essentially treated as a person and they will hold that copyright until they "die" (go bankrupt) and even then, 75 years after that

I grew up extremly sheltered about other food cultures. I'm working on it, but sometimes I just want tasteless bland food. My point is if Jon is trying to eat a more wide variety and not be picky that is enough. It's not always easy to widen your horizons.

So, we clarified Jon is the Hulk. Who else would be which character in the Avengers? Emile's Captain America... Tim is Thor.... and Tom as Iron-Man?

Yeah, I can completely relate to Jon's apprehension about going to Japan because of the food. Among other things, I just don't like seafood...
