Fun facts. Raul Julia had been in show business for nearly 20 years before this bomb. It wasn’t until he was in his mid 40s with Kiss of a spider woman (which was great) that he became a star. As we know he died young at 54 years. The cute brunette (who has classic French Canadian looks, dark hair, light eyes) also died young at 56. She was like 15 years younger than him in this movie.

Actually not bad for a Public Television TV movie. I remember seeing it on WNET, The last in a series of 3 bringing science fiction books to the screen. Raul Julia died at 54, Linda Griffiths at 60 RIP

I liked it too for the most part, fun to watch with or without the jokes. I've read some of that author's books (John Varley, very talented writer) and Overdrawn at the Memory Bank is a short story that can be found in the book 'Persistence of Vision'.

It's weird they portray Fingal as the hero when he has to have racked up a massive body count when he fucked around with weather control systems. NovaCorp only started trying to kill him after that point, warning him numerous times before that not to screw around.
