Good upload and overview mate, that ballistics Hammerhead looked great. The event personally was an absolute race just to get to the fights, 2 out of my 5 i never even got to fire a shot lol, such was the massive mismatch of players vs npcs. CDF just swarmed the poor Xeno's. It ran well with regard to stability and spawning but it was very much boom and over.

The IFF is wonk, I had so many red targets turn blue when I locked on to them, so if you are gonna bring a Hammerhead or Cutty Black to this fight, expect someone with little Eclipse experience to pop a S9 at you.😅

With persistent personal hangers, maybe a poster or wall plaque as a reward even a coin that can be placed in a wall display would be a nice small reward for completing the event. Yearly that can be same coin different year. Coins and such are in game now for event rewards, so not to much a stretch for CIG devs to set up.

Key note, do this early. Since you can’t take the mission or have it shared after completing it, the pool of people completing it will thin out over time. If you don’t have the support to do with without randoms, it’s going to be very difficult to compete it as those randoms thin out. I loved running this in my Mk2 Hornet with full ballistics. Dual sticks definitely helped stay clear of most of the heavy fire. Once, I even had time to disengage, rearm, and return to help finish the last few enemies.

Do it urly if you simply want to get the quest done. All 5 got done in about 1,5 hours. The fastest quantum is advised, so you get to the mission before it is done. When you get close enough to see how many enemies are left, you will get the mission done even if you do nothing once all the enemies are dead. It will be a hard mission when most people already done it. Could also be a pirate hot spot.

I think the worst part about this mission is that I'm still behind. When I catch up to start receiving these missions I'm afraid I'll be unable to complete them due to the mission being removed from players that completed all 5

Hey LG - we are both pretty experienced SC players now, so this phase is nothing compared to the long fleet battles of the original XT. But if you are a new player, it’s pretty exciting, and chaotic - the location are always in Yela’s asteroid ring or Hurston’s moons, so running into debris is a real scare factor. And you will feel pretty insignificant when you fly your F7C mk2 in and are greeted by a host of Ares starfighters and Retaliators.. all looking to kill something 😂

I was completing my phase 2 last night and the server I was on was bugged I think, they said the thing never ended, they just got stuck on 1/5 for the whole 2 hours or so it took me to solo phase 2. Not sure how common that is, only played that one server yesterday

CiG really needs to work on space combat missions. The ai just isnt dangerous enough and doesnt really require teamwork
