The reason why the all-star moves got heavily nerfed in this game is because in the original game, most all-stars could easily send you back to first place, making it easy to cheese your all-stars.

I bought sonic all star racing about 2 hours ago and have played it a ton, I've bought it since it was on sale + the game was a part of my childhood I decided to play the game and set the AI a little high, so I would usually see myself at around last place depending on the map And on god it is horrible how OP they were I was sent flying from 8th place to first place

Transformed is definitely the better game, but what made the first game stick out for me was its personality, specifically with the announcer and unique all-star moves. I almost like it more because of that.

At least there was an interesting, if a little bizarre, set of characters. Not to say the first game didn't have a good array of characters, but let's face it; Where else can Yogscast, Wreck-It Ralph, Danica Patrick, and Sonic the Hedgehog exist in the same place? Also, it had great tracks.

@@dr.soulja2123 I love that song and I would have picked What I'm Made of if I played Sonic Heroes. I did play Sonic 4 ep 2. I haven't finished the game, but I did fought against Metal Sonic. I played Sonic Heroes on the computer , but stopped, because I couldn't get used to the controls on there. That was years ago on a computer that died quickly. If I fully played Sonic Heroes and I fought Metal Sonic, then What I'm Made of would be my favorite Metal Sonic theme. Stardust Speedway is pretty good, with Sonic Mania, Sonic Forces and Sonic Generations being my favorite versions of Stardust Speedway, but Sonic 4 ep 2 is better, because it fits Metal Sonic better as a fight, while the other songs are more fit for a race. It's repetitive yet awesome.

Transformed was an extremly underated game. Amazing dynamic tracks, a pretty decent roster that had 1 or 2 different exclusive characters depending on the console version and some really neat single player content. I hope this game gets a sequel someday.

It feels like the only unique ones are NiGHTS, Reala, and Gum. NiGHTS and Reala’s All-Stars basically let you control them in their normal humanoid forms, while Gum’s takes inspiration from DJ Professor K’s description of her, leaving a trail of broken hearts wherever she goes. Everyone else’s is either a get-off-me burst or a projectile attack.

If there was a port of this for Switch, PS4, and Xbox One (the port can be free DLC for PC), I want to see Billy Hatcher back and have the DLC PC characters (except Team Fortress, they can stay in the PC version) in the console versions. New Sega characters I want to see are Arle Nadja from Puyo Puyo, Vectorman, Astal and Pepper from Clockwork Knight. New guest characters I want are Hatsune Miku, Crash Bandicoot and even SpongeBob cause why not. And maybe they can put in Mario and maybe the Inkling girl in the Switch version as an exclusive to the said console. And maybe they can put Ratchet and Clank to the PS4 version.

While Transformed did add some neat additions, the removal of the Narrator actually *being* a narrator and the fact each All-star move is either, projectile spam or an AOE attack in the Plane form (minus NiGHTS and Reala who take their original form) is really saddening. But considering *Danica Patrick* of all people was added to the base roster and the fact there are sections where traveling through the sky or on water would've looked weird with specific characters outside of their vehicles, they probably needed to compromise and settled for making the All-star moves basic attacks that could be reskined to match a specific character. Which fun fact, in the 3DS version neither NiGHTS nor Reala go into their original forms. Most likely for both hardware reasons and to keep a steady framerate as Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed was released *before* the NEW 3DS was even a thing. Also, Miis work differently between versions. In the Wii U version, you can't select which Mii you'd like to use but the Super Zoomer will change color according your Mii's favorite color. In the 3DS version the Super Zoomer's default color is red (which matches the 3DS' logo fittingly enough), but you can select from the list of Miis (including Guest Miis) that are on your 3DS. One last note related to Miis, the Swords and Shields seen in the All-star Move for Miis aren't just a random choice by the developers, it actually references Find Mii/Streetpass Quest, one of two default games available in Streetpass Mii Plaza.
