For the newbies (since Beelz never does it): If you have the Ancient Alchemy trait (selling items) maxed, its ALWAYS worth grabbing any gift boxes in the first couple of shops. The present costs less than even a common will sell for, so you'll always make money on them

Just to clarify about the adventurers' sigils: Every adventurer's sigil can have 2 different effects, every fight chooses one of those and puts it against you (Priest can do the barrier you see in the video or a ground area that heals the others and slows you down, Knight can do shields in front of others or debris falling down from the sky, so on and so forth) They do not alternate during the fight so there is no point in waiting to get a "better" effect

Some tip for cheese the game: invisible blade is crack out of it mind water bommer kaboom start is basically 100% win rate with it( some purple flash and it can litterally no hit tank everything with the new bone inscript). You can manipulate the slime by just turn of the game and boost it back on, the slime will always choose the same slot in like 99% of the time so if you are in a item room you basically have control over what you want to dupe, you can destroy item until the good thing is in that slot but its when the 1% come in to play. The adventure drop is fix by the kill order most of the time so for example you get assassin legend gear but you want hunter arrow then just exit the game and do it but kill the hunter in the order of pre reset assassin. The free item thing can also be looked through and decide worth or not with a exit( honestly the same rng seed when reset the game is so easy to cheese).

Just a note for the trap rom 1:10:43 , the traps deactivate as soon as you pass them. So you can dash trough the traps jump on the platform bellow for the traps to stop and then you can go back and deal with the enemies without worrying about the traps!

I personally like that hard mode removes some of the initial power spike to a run but after each competition of the game you unlock something new, powerful and more importantly they all have a use and make each difficulty unique.

The first time you fight the old man emperor final phase, you're actually invincible for it. So for people doing it their first times it's just phase 1, 2, and bomb and then a symbolic final fight that you can't lose. Just did it myself

Werewolf, Prisoner/King, Clown, Water, Thief, Ent, Pike. It depends on what kind of items they get during a run but typically these guys shred health bars.

Oh something to point out if you have terrible luck like me. On the higher DMs if I go into the act 1 shops and there is nothing in the shop even after the first roll I usually will just lock in Treasure and Courage/Wisdom instead of rolling more and just picking up something to have something or getting nothing. The damage boost and money gain are a lot better than having a weak item effect or points in something you don't care about IMO anyway.

Revenge + Piety Dark Ability is kinda busted. To my understanding, Piety does boost the Revenge HP gain, so you regain almost all if not all HP once you've boosted Piety to lv3. As long as you only get hit once in the span of 3 seconds and manage to get the revenge hit every time, you are immortal. That isn't realistic, of course, but it makes it so much easier to survive. I just beat the secret boss on DM9 from the enriched quartz two days ago using a Frost Bomber setup with Piety & Revenge (Hate Stone & the shop machine). I also cleared DM10 for the first time and took down the Act 6 boss using Piety + Revenge with only one life left (I messed up earlier in the run) a few days prior. It's such a good combination

Note : If you reach the Witch after beating the Dark Hero and you don't have any maxed Inscription, the Witch will give you Golden Apple instead which boost your overall stats and it's better than a upgraded Inscription imo

People talk about skul tiers and the first time I beat the game was with rider/nightmare revenge build. A lot of people do not like that skul. Does rider suck once it gets harder like on dark mirror 8-10? I saw you talked about how some skulls just aren't good at that difficulty like gargoyle.

Ironically I beat DM9 with Rider just because I thought it'd be cool to just try him out for once lol, it's not for the faint of heart for sure.

Some skulls have a few issues for sure. But 90% of the time it comes down to preference and playstyle. People can and do play Gargoyle very well. Same with Yaksha. I just personally don't like them very much. I feel that Mage is a bit clunky and Rider is only tough because I have a habit of getting myself killed in most situations with the bike. His bike is also hard to use in certain boss fights like Joan and Dark Dad.

I always get this glitch in dm mode where when I using grave digger and his skills don’t work even tho I have grave stones near by. Mainly happens at the phase 2 Alexander fight. On semi-unrelated question. so, I saw a playthrough, the tank boss- one of the heroes, he, on diff 3, deals 67 damage to the king, note to you, he ignore the cursed chest, straight up NO to the chest. cuz that's partly what got him killed on the cerulian king boss fight on previous run. He don't forget to cleanse the debuff he get on act 4. so when he lose his first life, like 2 seconds later, died to the 67 damage that he take on one swing. The question is, can the tank boss really do that much damage? one thing that I could think of is the omen stuff that he take and then, swap for something else. But the 50% damage taken should be gone when he get rid off that omen item. if you wanna ask for more detail, im afraid i can't tell you because don't remember much. and yes, this is after the latest update.

Depends what attack hit him and whether he had other effects hurting his damage taken stat. Might have had cursed dark abilities.

Just finished my first normal run last night, finally. Sage and abyssal monarch, were the skulls i ended up with and i thought, for sure, that the hero was going to finish me off. Had already used my one revive earlier in the run. Ended up finishing the hero before he could me. That was tough but satisfying. Any suggestions for my beginning dark mirror runs? I have no castle equipment yet and my other witch is still passed out and currently unable to do anything.

I honestly don't remember. An easy test is to do a higher level run, beat act 1. Reset and do it on Normal mode. See if there's much of a difference. I will say, clearing a run is always more quartz than quitting out half way. The further you get, the better.

Yeah those come with more progress. Each time you beat a difficulty level you'll get 1 new machine that adds something for future runs. You'll have everything once you beat DM level 9. 10 unlocks a cosmetic skin.

SkulPatcher. By default it shouldn't do that but it bugs out sometimes. You can usually fix it by changing your pages to 2 and then back to 1.

You probably need to clear a run and beat the story before you can unlock it. I don't recall whether there's a Mirror Level requirement (shouldn't be) for the secret boss stuff. I'd say just beat a mirror run then check.

In Normal mode there's alchemists at the end of the traps you need to kill. But in Hard Mode I think they probably just changed it.

Feed cat, and while he's eating you drop down. Just make sure you're in Dark Mirror mode. Besides that nothing else should be going wrong.

Which choices do you mean? Getting the true ending? You'll need to advance the Witches plot a bit. Start climbing the Dark Mirror difficulties.

I can but it's best to use them in lower difficulty runs. So DM8 or below. DM10 just traight up hates inferior builds and makes them far longer and appear much weaker in contrast.

@@aasnnithiamhuanok4389 Your equipment doesn't improve. You get a new passive effect when you get 4/6. Every 3 seconds or so, when you do your basic attack, a new attack effect will trigger, damaging enemies in front of you. It's like a big slam. When you get 6/6 in Arms that effect is improved.

ARCHLICH AND REAPER!!!! i was so happy and proceed to go through the run with quite the ease with those 2 powers, and managed to get past chimera, but i finally died to the adventurer fight because i was not sure whether i frame dodge is inbuilt or needs to be unlocked, if it was inbuild, then i'm just bad at the game XD

​​ @Beelz55 ​ yea i do have that save file to be honest actually the scenario is actually like this : before i updated windows from 7 to 10 i copied that file along the skul entire file that was on steam library and then updated my windows and just put the file back and thought it would be ok since it worked for about 10 or 20 other games that i had so i didn't even bother to check since steam cloud worked for most of them and the ones who didn't i just put the save files back where i got them from after opening the game once so it would create that file in app data but . . .. but then a few month later when i was going to play skul i noticed a big problem and mistake. first i just opened the skul and just let it update . . . which in reality it wasn't actually an update and it was Installing the game again . . . meaning for some reason it just didn't acknowledge the old files and installed the game again . . . and then the problem starts. first i now have 2 skul files in steam library . . . and here comes the problem with the save file that i just honestly don't know how it even does that. it's basically like this when i open the game that was the version before the update i have the save file working. but when i open the version steam just installed and i replace the save again there in the app data location it just doesn't work and replaces those files. and i literally mean that. it doesn't just add new files on top of the old files. it deletes the old save files and then create new ones when i open the new version . . . BUT the older skul file still have the old save file and just works without having the old save file in the app data . . . this is a pain so to put it in a easier way to understand 1 - i have 2 skul files . . . and when i open the old version it has the save when it doesn't even supposed to have it 2 - the new version just deletes the old save files and creates new ones 3 - i am lost at what i am supposed to do now and yep basically i don't have a clue on how this is even happening . . . if you also don't have a clue then it's okay since this is probably the last attempt i am making before just starting the game again from the start when i find motivation and time to do it. and yep that's basically it

I wont watch this video till I beat a normal run and unlock dark mirror. Somehow, getting past the last hero fight consistently isnt an issue anymore, but the runup to Joan has completely destroyed me 5 times now Edit: through the power of Ghooouuul and Magnifico(I got HELLA lucky with unique and legendary skull drops), I completed my first normal mode skull run. Through my efforts, I also filled out all the character upgrades at the witch before getting the win, so now Im starting on DARK MIRROR HAHA.

So recently I was going to do a run with spartacus and the run whent horribly wrong What happened was that I was using him and everything was going according to plan. So you might be thinking what caused the whole run to go wrong. Well, the great gambino showed up and stole the whole show, causing me to leave spartacus in the dust once again. I still managed to win the run though but at the same time I feel like I lost the run because I once again didn't get the chance to fully mess around with spartacus. So tldr I was going to do a spartacus run but then I got gambler and the whole run became a gambler run instead
