***SPOILERS*** This week's episode kicked off with the duel between Ney and a fellow badger which was teased last week. I thought that General Andrews did a wonderful job of acting out the cinematic narrative combat. Coming up with attacks and reactions that "look" good in improvised narrative descriptions isn't easy, so doing such a great job of it deserves praise. In the end, Ney beat down the youngster but was a good sport about the whole thing. His opponent honored his word, calling off his party from attempting any intervention or fighting with Ney's group, and they went their separate ways. When the animals found Alectus, I had no idea the direction the episode was about to take, but I'm glad it went where it did! The sleepy mouse quickly won over Dash's friends, both Gwennie and Ney supporting him, with Gwennie offering counterpoints to Dash's complaints about Alectus, while "the legacy in repose" set to fencing with Junior, offering new insights which Dash had not imparted to him before. Seeing everyone enjoying this younger, handsome mouse's company, and his charge learning new skills from him, Dash retreated, only for Junior to notice something was wrong and to follow after him. The scene that ensued was just wonderful. Trooper has always played Dash as having all the answers and being eternally positive, so seeing Dash feeling so wounded was surprising and seeing this vulnerable side of him was interesting. Saffy acted her heart out, delivering an incredible, heart-warming, emotional speech to encourage Dash and strengthen the bond between them, perhaps erasing most of his fears that Junior could just replace him as his father figure with the "newer model" of the same species who is better-looking and offers additional training knowledge. I'm not entirely sure if it's *the* best scene in the series thus far or not, but it's the one that impressed me the most so far. Well done, and congratulations to everyone in the cast (and even that bearded GM fellow) for making this world and these characters all "work" just right so that this scene hit perfectly. It wouldn't hit as hard in a vacuum, after all. Well done! =)

**Ranting and Kind of Spoilers** Ney is quite the pugilist. On the other hand the three old timers are insanely rude. Maybe this episode annoyed me, so much because I value my sleep, but how dare you wake someone up like that, your need was not immediate. Also you automatically assume the sleeping mouse was being lazy? Maybe he was catching some sleep in between shifts, maybe he just spent 3 weeks out in the Wilds and this was the first place he could sleep and feel secure, or maybe he just needed sleep. Don't wake people up and if you do don't be rude to them afterwards.

Hey, if Dash had his way, they wouldn't have woken up Alectus at all! We would have just let him sleep.
