I got back into playing Trackmania from these Wirtual videos, and having only played Nations in the past, this new version was a bit of a learning curve. I still have no idea how some of the surfaces work. But its a fun new thing to get better at!

I love TM, but saying its really good for the price... nah... any game which is rented and not bought has no good price/performance rate... you can play 3 years and after that TM is more expansive than any AAA game and its price its still rising 20$/€ every year, because its a subscription... and everyone who argues "you can play single player" - yeah fantastic, a game which is almost always played online, i can play offline *yay*.... I will be very honest: if we support stuff like this (e.g. also in cars like BMW, where you rent seat heating and stuff), we will contribute to the dystopian dream of the WEF: "You will own nothing and you will love it"... i am pretty sure we wont love it... sorry for this political stuff, but this development is scary as **** if you keep on thinking what could and will happen....

King Canute of England, aka Knut. The one who ordered the sea back and failed. Only that's received history. What actually happened was that some courtiers were trying to flatter him about the divine right of kings and he wanted to prove them wrong by showing that he could not in fact command the waves back, that god was supreme. Obviously the links with those parts and the UK are strong, even influencing some of the dialects here, which is why it's a shame that you throw that away for a degenerated informal foreign dialect.
