Thank you all for the welcome back. This video and a few more yet to come were actually filmed months ago but I didn't have time to edit and upload them before heading to Georgia. I still have a lot to take care of now that I'm back in CA so hopefully, I can make some new videos of the thoughts and ideas I had while in Georgia.

This is a great video, the longer I play the more I realize alignment is the holy grail - I think this is one of the most underrated things in golf!! Kudos you are a 100% correct

Yes, absolutely! Without proper alignment a player can never get better. You'll always be blaming the wrong thing and trying to fix the wrong problem.

Missed you sir! Glad to see you post and really agree with your thoughts. Pick your aim point, align to it, and swing away!

I'm happy to hear that I've done another person good! How 'bout a tip? www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=D9KLSZE47S8AY People pay hundreds for a new driver or irons and hundreds more on DVDs and lessons that do them little or no good. I have truly simplified the swing to the point of almost near ridiculousness and it's transforming people's golf games. This is my only source of income these days as the company I worked for has gone under. My wife keeps saying to me, "Why are you just giving it away for free? You're wasting your time!" I'd like to prove her wrong. Play well! Thank you.

Taught how to hit it flush, draws & fades flush and only then taught how to aim flush shots - 90% can't hit it flush to begin with but overhand golf helps them get to flush - welcome back!!

I remember when i started an old now deceased highly respected English teacher called John Jabobs said if you aim at nothing hit it everytime, he emphasized the procedure you should do either at the range, absolutely always pick a target even if working at something on one's swing, and on the course, club on target, feet in position, adopt the correct posture before pulling the trigger.

Welcome back. Alignment is one thing I have always struggled with. When I play badly, I usually find that I'm lined up too far right. The problem is that the correct alignment always seems to be too far left, so I don't trust it.

Great video, as always, common sense stuff but still needs saying. Keep 'em coming! You are right, driving ranges don't help much...I tend to fall into the subconscious trap of squaring myself up to the edge of the mat rather than pick an aim point.

A lot of us make the mistake of initially aiming correctly but by the time we are in proper posture ready to hit we are aiming somewhere else. I try fixing that by taking a spot one foot ahead of the ball placing my club in that line and bringing body in conformity with the clubhead. Works mostly unless I have moved the club unknowingly.

To expand on this idea, we have tested many golfers and most hit the ball straight with and open stance, aiming the body and the club to say 5 minutes till 12 and hitting it to 12 o'clock. We have them go around the turn table, both left alignment, body and clubface and to straight and square at 12 noon and then toward 5 after 12 o'clock. Almost to a person, they are not compfortable with straight and square. Guess we are humans and not robots. Think Trevino and his push fade or Snead and his slightly over the top aim to the right. It is worth experimenting with since we never would be straight and square to hit a tennis shot, why golf? Do we stymie golfers with alignment sticks and straight and square? We ae finding yes.

Arrrrrrrh ! and there you have it, why don't golf coaches teach us to hit the ball with our eyes closed ! mio amigos !
