Overhaul Mod August UPDATE - When? 7 Days to Die

EDIT1: killerbunny from Apocalypse Now mod, and Khaine from Darkness Falls, both have confirmed from a post the War3zuk dev is alive and kicking. RL is going to delay the mod's update. EDIT2: Ravenhearst does appear to be considered stable now with version 9. The version numbers suggest it is stable, however I don't see it being posted as "stable", and there are still problems the Dev team are working on. It is also available on the ML now. EDIT3: Joke Mod v3 has released. I did make a post about it with the link for download. The patch notes are huge and I will do a video on it soon. EDIT5: Darkness Falls has launched the experimental version, and is have numerous bug fixes and changes. Play at your own risk! I would suggest you wait until stable. It is not on the ML until stable.

Darkness Falls is party only due to only one class restrictions. Also it's very annoying having multiple forges and workbenches. Not even talking about a mythical invisible, lootable only lathe to craft even a basic guns. It's really good overhaul but for parties of 4+ only. Undead Legacy is an absolutely insane grindfest because of the huge amount of research data required for every research and upgrade.

@@VYM You can literally learn every class in the mod. It's not party only. I test solo constantly. I've finished the mod, solo, on insane. I would re-educate yourself a little ;)

@@VYM DF is exactly what 7dtd should have been for a solo play tbh. Im playing solo starting saurvivalist pertmadeath from the go, 64 zombies hordes every 5th day, headshots only, no respawn and DF is the only mod that kept me on edge and in constant need to prepare. Horde nights are def something you can't just go through without prep or expect to only loot your ammo. DF also gets easier longer you play it; learning is very steep when you expect a tame 7th day horde and you get rolled over; I once got my whole base destroyed by not preparing against waves of vultures. Destroyed as in: whole trader Jen's stone building went crashing down and I got eaten by vultures". lol (Update: Hi Khane :) awaiting your live performance. try to go for headshots this time :) )

Nice video. I started playing Star Valor a little while ago to hold me over until DF and Sorcery are updated and working together. (It's a fun little game to hold me over.) I decided I'd rather just wait until both of those are up and working together for a long playthrough. I just really enjoy both of them together and decided my first a21 game should be those together.

Thanks hockallz I didn't know about it until yesterday :) Its addition of a few modlets does look like it could be considered an overhaul, but yes, you are correct, many don't consider it as a true overhaul. However, I will certainly take a closer look at some point.

I can't wait for Rebirth. I honstly believe it is the best overhaul Mod for 7Days to Die. IMO, It has some of the best new zombie models/variety and great gameplay changes.

Yeah, If you give End Z a go, let me know what you think. Otherwise certainly District Zero is a new theme with a lot of content and changes already. Something like Ravenhearst is well established but I believe is very grindy and a bit more difficult.

We tried Halmod today. My brother was wanting tougher, we got tougher. Yeah, you get a boost in the beginning, but I think he has Feral Sense hard coded "on" because they were constantly spawning and coming our way. Also, since zombie kills don't grant xp we are having to figure out the specific book sets we are going to use as all books are the way to level. This mod has turned Learn by Looting into Level by Looting. Either "read read read" or "sell sell sell" Funny thing to note. I went tech/tech so I have a stun baton with a repulsor. The repulsor effect also hit my brother so it's like fighting explosive resist zombies in Rebirth except I'm the one rag-dolling him.

ASIA Mod is likely to be a lot longer than September, this is actually a real overhaul including POI's and Zombies not one that uses a lot of add in Mods and called a overhaul, i wish them well with it, GNAmod have an experimental version locked behind approved testers at the mo.

A lot of them are real overhauls and not just adding small modlets. If one changing the whole experience, it's an overhaul. UL for instance is a real overhaul, Asia mod never could reach.

Only one I care about is Undead Legacy. Tried warzuk and hated how much of a departure it was from vanilla. Idk I guess I like the default zombies, I don't want supernatural shit or whatever in my zombie game.

Thanks VERY much for that info. I did check and went back now to see how I missed it. I recall now that Jax kept referring to version 9 in testing, and then alpha 21 as stable, but never RH as stable. When he released 9.0.0, he said that it was not going to the mod launcher or bluefang for upload as it was unfinished and may have bugs. Also features were expected to change and/or be added. Then 9.0.1 was added, but also not referred to as stable, except when he talks about alpha 21 stable. So, I still don't know if it is officially considered stable as there does not appear to be any actual announcement it is stable. However, the version numbers certainly suggest it is actually a stable version. Still, I will edit my pinned post now for those that may be wondering. Thanks for the comment. :)

unpopular opinion: After putting 20 or so hours in A21 i love the learn by looting a lot. I seem to progress faster and easier. i get to test/use things i normally wouldn't without having to waste skill points and it def for me takes away a fair bit of the stress A20 had. I love it but i can see why many aren't fans of it.

The Experimental is out. However, I would wait, quite a few things missing and there was already a large patch after just two days of release. So, don't expect your save game/world to last. I would definitely wait for closer to stable.

@SnowBee I honestly really enjoy it. It is mostly a bunch of the best qol mods put it one place but also has some nice new content like side quests you can get at your base, some new weapons and quite a lot of different ways to bridge the gaps in between the difficulty changes in a new game stage

Yes, I know what you mean. I am struggling to get to all the overhauls. What makes it worse, once big updates come out, then you want to go back to other mods that have great changes. So it is such an up hill battle trying to play them all, or even the ones you really want to play.

@@SnowBee Yeah, I think you will have to skip sleep altogether mate :) You can't be really an expert in a mod if you didn't play the shit out of it; its not like mod authors care to make a howto manual for their work haha There's always stuff that can be a major thing that gets overlooked and can change your whole gameplay. My biggest discovery was "XP trap" when I first started playing DF. Holly molly did I got bent and f***** multiple ways over and over again: Imagine starting a horde night at level 40ish with AK and ending horde night at level 78... yeah questing got a whole lot interesting past horde haha

I do appreciate the update, but I am going to say something pretty odd... All these devs and their crews are doing a huge job, for free (and some as a side job). They are striving to bring their babies out for all of us 'unwashed masses'. I will play at their beck and bidding, and really enjoy these gems. I don't care if they come out tomorrow or 333 Boxing Days later. (Okay, as soon as I get my comp fixed in my case.). I'd rather wait than get a crappy, bugged mess.
