That's what his Knuckle Busters series was supposed to be, but I guess they decided to stop doing that when they brought back Staff Inspection since they probably thought it'd be a bit redundant. That being said, I really enjoyed how much more in depth Knuckle Busters was; Dan has a way of explaining normally mundane things and making them interesting.

Now that you know where the holes in the cage that holds the nut are if that were to happen again just drill a hole in the right place and tack the nut onto the inside of the subframe. Then the nut wont spin and the weld heats up the nut and helps let it loosen. 👍🏼

Best part about this kind of fix is that you can do this on the car with a 90 drill. It's such an easy fix. Another quick fix (but this is if you have a spot welder) is to put a bolt through, punch it loose, pull it back, tape it so there's no contact, then put lines to the chassis and the bolt and pull it fast and straight. It will self weld to the chassis, done it twice now, and it's even faster.

FYI, the right way to do the fix on the loose nut is to just drill a hole from the side and pop a fat weld in there (preferably stick). It's dirt quick, you can do it on the car (if you're into that sort of thing).

an interseting idea for this car is, when you inevitably crash it, replace the broken parts with non original parts, so you end up with as little actual s14 in the car as possible.

suspension mounting points front and rear can be over 10mm different side to side, the tolerance was that far off when they built them some cars run a 5/10mm spacer,even seen different ET wheels fitted, can't rely on the body as a true guide,it may look ok but gauge could show its way off the rear sub frame is a bit weak as well,lower arms let go first if its hit a kerb but subframe can twist

R154’s come standard on toyota pick ups from 1988 - 1995 (v6 models 3.0) (also on 4runners) and on toyota tacomas from 1995.5 through 2004 on v6 3.4 models so they shouldnt be thaat hard to get, but i see the difficulty on the bell housing and the back half.

you could see that it was bent when you had it off and why you put the adjustable arms thay are best if you bash on the front end if you twist your frame you mix camber with your tow with cambolts it makes alignments fun and impossible for someone how doesn't get hooning
