I had this exact issue, replaced the thermostat, radiator, cap, temperature sensor, hoses, water pump , this did not fix the overheating condition… I then replaced the brand new thermostat with a brand new OEM Genuine Mopar 203 degree thermostat and this instantly fixed the overheating condition and a bonus it fixed my Sport Mode… Only use Genuine OEM Mopar parts. I’m guessing the aftermarket Chinese parts are out of specs. Hope this helps.

I went thru same issue, drive a 2011 also, it was an inner tube that was ripped , have them check all tubes that flow thru engine and radiotor.

Everyone keeps saying thermostat but make sure it’s a factory thermostat and not an aftermarket thermostat. I had that problem with my 2011 5.7 & I did a radiator flush, new heat core sensor, water pump, radiator fan, radiator cap, thermostat and gasket. After all that I still had an overheating problem so I went to my original mechanic and he let me know I had an aftermarket thermostat on there which doesn’t work for jeeps. After he replaced the thermostat I just got with a factory thermostat everything started working perfectly and I never had overheating issues again. Give it a shot and good luck.

Yep, same issue with my 2011, the aftermarket thermostats are out of spec , replaced with OEM Mopar and it fixed my issue. I’ll only be using Mopar for now on.

SAME HERE! I have a 2013 3.6L and replaced the oil cooler, radiator, ac condenser, thermostat housing (twice) and so on. It still stays around 225-230 when driving and gets up to 240+ when I’m on the freeway.

Have the same issues with mine but mine wasnt overheating at all. I heard my engine fan kick on while waiting to pick up my kid from achool so I stupidly swapped out thr thermostat. Now it overheats and fan wont kick on at all. Just replaced the coolant temp sensor and bled the system through the bleed screw on the water pump. Im guessing a blown head gasket since 99.9% of these trash cans on wheels are known for. Hope you decided to get rid of it.
@Queroyw Жыл бұрын
Easy fix for mine was I didn't let the engine idle for 15 minutes or more with the bleed screw open to allow all air to escape. Kept overheating UNTIL I properly bled all the air out of the system. Like new, now

I’m in the same boat exactly to the T all parts changed and replaced twice and still does the same when I start driving from start up it creeps to the middle then moves to about 240 then drops to 215 and stay like that the rest the time I see it’s only when I start on a cold engine so I would let it warm up now about 20 min before I take it out for the drive so far good

I have a Jeep commander with the same issue, the Fuse box is probably a tiny bit burnt at the fan relay i bypassed the Fuse box and used a separate relay. Check if you have power going to the fan to confirm then check the status of the fuses and relays. If it's not an electric thing then check for head gasket leak
