My husband is a doctor and was watching PBS week-end news, March 4th, 2023 and saw that the sweetener from the stevia leaf conclusively causes increased risk of stroke and heart attack. We are throwing ours in the trash and you should do the same. We love your channel and want you to stick around.
@rvpandamonium Жыл бұрын
We saw the same thing, it's not the stevia but the erythritol that is added that can increase your chance of stroke or heart attack. This is why i buy stevia with no erythritol.

I admire your can do attitude. I am positively scared of working with electricity. I have watched other videos on installing solar and I noticed some cover the panels before connecting. How are you able to work on your system without doing that? If you don't mind explaining on another video I would be grateful.

i really hate to involve my phone into stuff like that, too many things ride on internet connection, battery life, mbytes on the phone, easy transfer to a new phone.....
@timothykosmoski5690 Жыл бұрын
Boy make sure that your connections are tight and you don’t stack more than two wires together on one terminal that creates heat friction and will cause a fire and you might check those connections periodically my 50 amp charge controller the screws will work loose with movement of the RV I found two of mine loose after about eight months… I’m not saying I’m just saying… And where is Dave… Tim and Jill are worried about him I met him at Laposa South Arizona or spend some time with him 700 amp hours of batteries that’s pretty nice see you in the next video… Tim and Jill
@rvpandamonium Жыл бұрын
Thanks.. I usually use lock nuts, washers, or lock tight.. so they don't loosen.. but will definitely keep an eye on them

@Endless_Skyway_Adventures Жыл бұрын
Just keep an eye on the new controller temperature. The manual says to mount it vertically not horizontally. The reason for this is to allow convection to move air across the heat sinks between the mounting surface and the controller. With the heat sinks horizontal and less than 4” above and below the controller, the airflow and cooling is compromised. It is designed to work like a chimney with rising heat drawing cooler air up from below. The heat dissipation is needed most, when the batteries are fully charged and the panels are still producing power. In this state, the controller dissipates the solar energy in the form of heat since there is no room left in the batteries to store the energy. You did the right thing to replace the 20 amp unit, but without the correct airflow you could have heat buildup on the mounting surface. I’m not trying to be critical, just concerned for your safety. The bus bars were a great idea, and you upgraded the wiring along with the breaker, which was again well thought out.
@rvpandamonium Жыл бұрын
Thanks... will do 😊👍
@nathannookie Жыл бұрын
Actually, when the batteries are full, the power from the panels goes nowhere because the controller simply decides to use less of it. Basically like unplugging the panels. They want to produce power but they really don’t because it’s not going anywhere.
@Endless_Skyway_Adventures Жыл бұрын
@@nathannookie I would challenge the assumption based on observations of my MPPT charge controllers. They clearly regulate voltage and amperage charging at a lower amperage as the batteries approach full charge, But even if you are correct, a semantic argument does not negate the fact that the controller should be mounted vertically according to the manual and regardless of when the heat is being dissipated, the controller will more effectively dissipate heat when mounted in a vertical orientation, which was the point of the comment.
@nathannookie Жыл бұрын
@@Endless_Skyway_Adventures you’re absolutely correct and I’m always amazed at how some people don’t allow that convection process to work the way it should, either mounting the controllers sideways, like you said, or inside a nonvented enclosure or even positioning the heat sink at the top of the enclosure so the hot air has nowhere to go.

I have a question. I have a class A and when we are boon docking the inverter does not power the 120 plugs just the DC, is that normal?
