Such an underrated thrash band (much like Metal Church are). Overkill is freakin amazing!!! Still love Horrorscope!
@jameshetfield71498 жыл бұрын

Blitz always seems like he is genuinely happy to be talking to whoever is interviewing him, which is really unexpected and also quite welcome given who he is, haha

I've always saw Overkill as comparable to Megadeth... a metal-head friend of mine actually mistook an Overkill CD for Megadeth. I'm pretty sure Blitz spent his entire life keeping in top shape... and most importantly... CONTINUES to do so... especially today. That's why I admire these guys so much: They've been destroying themselves and thrashing hardcore since my ass was in diapers... ... and today... ... they're STILL thrashing hardcore... living life to the MAX!! These guys are my role-models... Especially in regards to music.

Was supposed to see them with Testament & Flotsam & Jetsam in February 2013 in Milwaukee, but Blitz was sick. Had to wait 3 1/2 years, but saw them with Symphony X in 2015, did not disappoint.

The OTHER Big Four.. Overkill, Testament, Exodus, and the original Sepultura line up.
@archangel56274 жыл бұрын
Johnny Chaos Overkill has been around as long as The Big Four and they’ve always been overlooked. They’re a criminally underrated band. Testament is another band that’s gotten better with age who are also criminally underrated.
@johnnychaos1524 жыл бұрын
@@archangel5627 Absolutely. Kreator is another band that has been around for decades that never seems to get the credit that they deserve. I'm just happy to see that many of the lesser known bands are still doing their thing even without all of the fanfare that bands like Metallica enjoy.
@archangel56274 жыл бұрын
Johnny Chaos It’s funny that you mentioned Kreator because they are apart of the German Big Four. Germany’s version of the Big Four are call the Big Teutonic Four. You have Kreator, Sodom, Destruction, and Tankard, they’re all Badass Thrash Bands. It’s a shame that most of them barely tour the United States if at all. If you’re not familiar with the other three, I highly recommend checking them out!
