53 and the same here. Overkill, and Testament as well, are overlooked far too much with regard to their musical influence in thrash. They may have had a lot of personnel changes over the years, but Bobby and DD kept that ship moving in the right direction. They have stayed true to trash through their entire career as much as, and probably more than, any of the other original thrash bands.

I got to meet DD Verni at an Overkill show in ‘86, I think. He was very kind. It looks like he is playing a left handed bass in this video. I’ll take that as a tribute to our meeting as I’m a left handed guitar player, lol. Overkill is still killing it!
