Today, I'm going to show you how to use the Hellfire Missile from the CPG seat in the AH-64D Apache for DCS World using the TADS! This is not meant as a tutorial. It is meant to aid new pilots with the learning curve of the Apache!

Nice vid. I used my joystick axis to handle the tads slewing as well, it was a super decision. It works very well for slinging the tads around. I very easily rippled 3 hellfires off the other day using it….going to try 4 today lol The slave button is very important actually. Without it you can’t quickly move your tads to a specific location. Based on your acquisition source you will use the slave button to bring the tads right to that source for investigation/engagement.

That's a great idea since you don't use the joystick as the CP/G. For me, I use Virpil throttle and stick which both have short joysticks on the top so it's perfect for slewing :)

thanks for the informative video. I'm a noob to DCS but when I heard they were coming out with an AH64 sim, I had to get it. I'm still learning all the controls but look foward to playing with a group some day down the road

Great turtorial!!! Thank you!! I have to say you have a very natural and comfortable voice over that works well for this… keep it up!! ..and as I mentioned in a previous video I do like the “noob” approach. For me the Wags and Casmo clips can be a little to heavy 😊 and I tend to lose track.

11:20 that's because you had him stop while you were going 70 knots, once he went lower than 40 knots, you went into VRS and fell out of the sky! :P I've done it as pilot a few times :P

16:20 You can also fire multiple Hellfires one after the other when targets are close to each other. Once the first missile hits its target, quickly move the laser to the next target and the next missile will strike where you point the laser and the next missile after that :) I've watched a guy hit 3 BTRs in a row doing it this way. Wait about 5 sec between missile if the targets are close :)

Yeah this is literally the ripple-fire technique, must be done in LOAL launch mode though if you're actually locking up targets.

Anyone know if the RHG LRFD Trigger FIRST DETENT and SECOND DETENT are clickable in the cockpit? Can't seem to find either on the RHG.

I see that you are sitting perfectly center in the gunner seat. When I sit in the gunner set I am offset to the right. How do I get centered like you are? Thanks!

Ctrl shift and the number keys shift the camera Numpad 5 centers by default
