Did you pull that D44a out of another rig or was it an option for the i6 Laredo trim?
@DavidSanchez-ib4ft4 жыл бұрын
The dana 44a was only available for the V8 wj's. If he pulled it from a standard v8 it would have 3.73-1 gears which helps with the bigger tires. If he pulled it from an 4.7 HO it would have 3.91-1 gears. I own both models.
@turbolq44 жыл бұрын
@@DavidSanchez-ib4ft I've never heard of the 3.91 gearing option. Was under the impression that all the V8 WJ rigs had 3.73. do you know if they had a non veriloc axle option with those gears?

@@turbolq4 Not that I'm aware of. It was only for the 4.7HO Overland model, and they only came with the Vari-lock axle. I have 2 sets of vari- locks and 1 open set. I plan on moving the 3.91 set to my open carrier and putting in an issue locker in the front while keeping the Vari-lock in the rear. I swapped out my 247 for a 242WJ so I have the 2wd option.

Just curious, im new to Jeep. How can you spot the difference between an Overland and a ''Standard'' Grand Cherokee?

@@Cristo_Redentor Overlands come with 17 inch rims, (Limited's and Laredo's usually have 16 inch rims) Overlands have rock rails on the sides, and next to the "Grand Cherokee" emblem on the doors, it has the "Overland" emblem.
