I love your comment: "If you don't like the video, hit the unlike, like, twice, to really let us know it..." Too funny!! Wait.. a Subaru Forester made it? Don't Jeeps eat those for a light snack?? :-) Also, I love your "Pack it in, pack it out" message, as in: "How lazy does somebody have to be, to leave a single Pringles can?" That's what I'm sayin'! Oh, and the road tar; we've had happen with our motorcycles; yuck! However, you have convinced me that we need to visit the White Pocket... right Honey? Right Honey? RIGHT HONEY? HONEY????" :-)

White Pocket is absolutely stunning. Part 9 will have plenty of footage of actual white pocket. I will admit I'm not a Subaru fan but that may have more to do with my love of Jeep than my disdain for Subaru. 🤣 I get pretty frustrated when folks leave trash on the trail. I just don't understand it. 🤷♂️.

Totally with you @Serenity OffRoad regarding the distaste for trash (ANYwhere, but especially in nature!) & I also dislike Subarus; I used to work on them & they are not worthy, I assure you.

Not too many overlanders can say they have road grind. Always above the rest. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Not sure if that puts me above the rest but it was definitely hilarious. 😅 thank you for joining us.

A few years ago, I was on a drive from Sacramento to Seattle and in the Crater Lake area when I encountered road construction like you described. I was in my Camaro that time and refused to follow the guide truck over the newly laid oil and asphalt. So I drove slowly along on the gravel side while the others followed him. Drove him nuts but I drove slow and no tar on my car!

we came off the trail onto the highway, apparently in front of the pilot car. Oops.😬 the placement of the cones had me a little confused. had we actually driven on the side we were supposed to be on we wouldn't have had the tar issue. 🤣🤣 luckily WD-40 takes tar right off.

I'm very glad to come across your channel. I really enjoyed everything about this video. The camera work, editing, information, and especially you sharing your adventure stories. Genuine stuff! Bummer about the road tar, but like trail stripes...evidence of adventure and always a story to remember and share. The only trail trash I ever cracked a smile at was a couple of intact beers left under a shady tree, mixed emotions about that, but the gesture was well intended I think. Looking forward to your other vids! Liked and Subscribed!

That's not trash that's a donation to the trail weary 🤣🤣 . Thanks for joining us on this adventure.

really enjoying your series of videos. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be if you invested in a drone. There is this kid and his cousin in an old red Cherokee that has some wonderful videos too. You may know who I am talking about. HIs drone shots are amazing. Old days those shots would have cost big bucks with a helicopter.

Thank you for joining us. And I'm glad your enjoying the seriese. I love AZOFFROAD.NET. I've gotten some great Ideas and allot of information from him. I agree I need to get a good drone. I do have a drone. It's a cheaper one and for some reason it couldn't get good GPS signal at white pocket. My drone skills are not great so without GPS signal I cannot fly it effectively. I do want to use it more. I really wanted to get good drone footage of White Pocket. I wish I could have gotten it to work. I am looking into a much better drone. Hopefully in the near future. 🤞

Did you get the tar off? I hear that can mess up a paint job,
@TheIronRide3 жыл бұрын
A can of WD-40 took it right off. No worries. .

I have always wanted a winch. Do they mount directly to the frame? I was always worried I would pull the bumper off. They run on 12 volt?
@TheIronRide3 жыл бұрын
Runs off the 12 Volt battery. You need a bumper that can handle a winch and a winch plate. You might be able to use a winch mount with a factory bumper. 🤷♂️

Did you need permits to camp in White Pocket?
@TheIronRide3 жыл бұрын
No permits needed for white pocket. It's BLM land. Just need a rig capable of getting through the sand to white pocket.

@@TheIronRide thanks! I have 33's with front and rear lockers. Do you think that's good enough?
@TheIronRide3 жыл бұрын
@@shawnruzek5378 you'll be fine. AT tires and 4 wheel drive with some clearance is plenty. Honestly not sure how necessary 4 wheel drive is.

Real litterbugs leave beer cans and whiskey bottles. Pringles can? Come on.
@TheIronRide3 жыл бұрын
Hahaha. That is true. On the other hand any trash left behind will add up unless someone else picks it up. No reason to leave trash around. If you can bring it in, you can bring it out. 😏🤠
