I’m from Ontario and yes far north Ontario north of Superior is beautiful with almost endless wild camping opportunities. But let me say that northern Quebec the Trans Taiga in particular is fantastic with big rivers and lots of outlooks to enjoy , the Trans Taiga is as far as you can get from a town in North America on a very rough road-track . In fact when you reach the end of the Trans Taiga and if the space shuttle were to fly overhead, they (in the space shuttle) would be closer to you than you are to a town !! FACT!! When done the Trans Taiga you can head west and camp on the shore of James Bay (part of the Arctic Ocean) salt water , tides, kelp , pretty awesome . It is unique in that you are on salt water in the middle of the country … not on either coast !! Enjoy Canada . Cheers fellow overlander Jeep overlanding the far north !!

We are enjoying Ontario a lot and I do know that we didn’t take time to organize the trip and look more into what was nice to do in Quebec or any place around Canada tbh. Thanks for sharing!

Nice video! You should consider getting a small overlanding trailer something similar to the Smittybilt Scout overland trailer to haul all that gear.

Thanks! We’re trying without the hassle of a trailer ;)

You did not see any wildlife but be assured they saw you.. They are very good at staying discret especially this time of year. As per this, also make sure you camp in a safe and open place as hunting season is starting and wild camping and hunting do not go well together...

They for sure hear and see us 😄

To increase your chances to seeing wildlife in Canada, you have to get populated areas, so basically about 150 km from the border with the USA, in my opinion the Yukon is the best place, but the Northern portions of most of the provinces are a close second.

Agreed that Ontario is much easier and open than Quebec. Being from Quebec, it is overly regulated. Crown land is not really a thing. That said, there is a lot of places to explore, but you have to go farther north. As for wildlife, you have to be patient and quiet 🤫😉
@offtrackfamily2 ай бұрын
I agree there’s more to be seen north :)
