12-15 psi is fine for most 3 ply side wall tires w/o beadlocks. I have a '03 Trailblazer on 35's that I run that low. Been to Moab several times and DTC. No issues running that pressure.

The other more important reason for airing down the tires when off roading is for a larger contact patch on the ground. As you air down the tire, it spreads out the tread length wise and width wise and provides more tire to the ground for better traction. That is a nice tire plug kit - very much needed when off road.

I just want to confirm with the full size 265/65R18 spare, the rear cargo lid closes flush? And can you still use the removable containers it comes with? Great videos by the way! I’m picking up a 2020 Trailhawk soon and already have a large list of mods ready, which you’ve definitely had an influence on.

The cargo lid on ours is up a bit. We always have the Dog Beds on top so that holds it down. I haven't tried to deflate the tire to see I can get it to shut. We can still use the removable cargo containers though. I'd ask this question to @grandhemihawk. He has the exact same tire. Hope that helps!

Fantastic video. With regard to the Garmin In-Reach Mini, why did you choose to go with that over the full-size In Reach? I saw both the other day in REI and the bigger one at $100 more does seem to add quite a bit of functionality. I can imagine that my cell phone going dead might seriously compromise much of the functionality of the mini
@ProdigalOverland

You can still access the emergency response with the mini. but yes it is a bit crippled without the cell phone app.

Would the back seat full outlet be enough for an air compressor?
@toddhoffmaster6057
@toddhoffmaster6057 3 жыл бұрын
No, it requires 40amps to run efficiently. That is why it uses alligator clips to attach to the battery.

No. Not all the stuff. Most on the racks and the rest creatively packed in the Jeep.

The old saying "The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low cost is forgotten" came to mind the moment you showed a Smittybuilt product and all the "Amazon" garbage you decided to waste your money on. Trust me, out somewhere on the trail is NOT where you want to find out the quality (or lack thereof) of something you "saved money" on. Remember this, someone's life just might depend on what you choose to buy! "Buy The Best And Cry Only Once". Your chances of survival increase exponentially.

@@ProdigalOverland the Baofeng radios require programming, preferably with a computer using Chirp software. They are also technically illegal to transmit on unless you are a licensed ham radio operator.
