There's no looking back now as we've made it to Bellingham, WA to load the troopy up and take the ferry to Alaska via the Alaskan Marine Highway. This journey through the inside passage will definitely be one of the highlights of the trip for me, with incredible scenery, wildlife spotting, and other great passengers onboard the M/V Columbia.
Thanks for being here!

Well Ben! I guess it official! Your journey, the real journey is about to begin!!! It really happening!!! So congratulations on a great start! Alaska has so much to offer, so much to see! You will have to be disciplined with your schedule otherwise old man winter will close around you and as much as I loved Alaska the few times there, and as much as I would like to spend a few months just exploring….Alaska is not where I would spend a winter in a Troopy no matter how nice the Troopy! So enjoy the next few weeks of exploration, watch the weather and have a wonderful time. Anxious to share your trip with you….thanks for bringing us along!!👍👍

Thanks so much Bob! You’re absolutely right, too much to see and not enough time. I’m already finding shops and restaurants closing down for the season. To add another wrench to the plan, the troopy decided to breakdown on me and I’m currently stuck in Tok, AK. I’ll share more about the situation soon!

@@BenStinnett so sorry to hear about the breakdown!!! At least you’re “in town”! Hope it’s nothing too serious and glad you’re not out in the bush!! Will be praying for good parts availability as well as a good mechanic if needed! Patience….and realize this is all part of the experience…part of the journey and while we can’t choose what happens along the way….we can ALWAYS choose our attitude!! Stay positive and remember you have people praying for you!!!👍👍

The scenery! I wonder what it's like to live in those homes near the coast. It's a different world from our city lives. Unloading from the ferry was such a cool thing to see. Love the video Ben!

I was wondering the same thing! Some of those little communities are SO remote, and it must be so harsh in the winter. Just a totally different way of life.

Any of your followers needs a good job, The Alaska Marine Highway System is desperately in need, everything, deck hands, kitchen, pursers, office people in the different ports! Good deal.

How does one go overLAND on water? Lol. Not my ideal way to travel with my dogs. I'd never leave them in my vehicle for 8 hours anywhere, let alone a ferry lol. Too many variables would play out in my head. That isn't a judgement or criticism though. I was just expressing my own comfort zone with my furry family lol. I have more separation anxiety than they do 🤣

I totally get it. I was definitely more nervous about it than Bandit was. He did great and bounced right back as soon as we were off the boat! 🙌

It is really such a cool part of the journey! Hoping to make it to Tuktoyaktuk, but currently broken down and hoping I can get back on the road in time to make it up there before the bad weather sets in. Thanks for watching 🙌

@@BenStinnett oh man that is unfortunate, hope you are at least stranded somewhere interesting! If you are able the Top Of The World Highway is worth the trip but make sure the border crossing is open.
