It’s close on 25 years since we visited Hwange National Park. Just incredible. Fantastic shots of the lions. I hope you had the quick release nuts on the wheels, 😂

We sat there for ages watching the lion and had two of the lioness encircle the landrover 😬 then we got lost on what we found out later wasn’t a road (we were told to go that way by one of the rangers!) saw a young bull elephant who started to chase us to find out there were two chasing us - then we got a flat tyre, lost in the middle on Hwange. Quite the adventure - and we were hungry thinking we’ll just do a couple of hours Game drive before breakfast, we got back into camp around 2pm! No idea if they were quick release or not- I was too busy filming😂😂

Am glad you were well away from the lions with the flat tyres, or they could have been having another lunch. Saying that, the male was a bit amorous , you never know what could have happened !!! What are the specs on the LandRover, sounds like a V8 ?

Haha- they were about 3 meters from us but we had our faithful landrover protecting us until I realised steve had his windows wide open 😂 great sighting though and the amorous lion was a bit pre occupied to make us his lunch! Yeah we’d been though the lion and elephant charge when we got the flat tyre- my job was to keep watch but instead I did the filming😉 it’s a 300tdi- chugs along quite happily but never at great speed- even downhill with a wind behind 😂
