Phenomenal videos you have. Great setups and choice of sensors. Well done. I will spread these among the simulation and racing communities. You deserve further looking into this.

Wow I didn't realize you had put together a TPMS and internal system! Amazing work sir.

Really good system combining the tpms and ir, it can be displayed in the dash if your dash can receive the can messages and has display creator.

I think your next step would be if you already don't have it, is to display it on dash live while driving. Like current F1 teams do. They show driver temps/pressures in numbers. With usual green colors in correct range and red/orange temps overheating. That would be amazing tool to have on track days.
@izze-racing6 жыл бұрын
Yes, F1 teams will often have a menu/page for tire core temperature's and pressures. This is already implemented with the setup shown in the video with the MoTeC dash, but the page was not shown.

So what is the conclusion about camber here. It needs more camber, less or is optimal ?
@izze-racing4 жыл бұрын
Front tires need more negative camber for optimal cornering - compromise between braking and cornering performance.

@@James-dx9ho The outer shoulder of the laterally loaded front tires (look at the LF in particular) runs hotter. For example, see 1:38 to 1:50 and look at the LF.

Hi. My friends race car is old school. 12v. Starter button and engine. He can’t have only live data so needs something that would store the data, we could then plug into a laptop after the race Any thing like that exist or do you sell anything that would help us out Cheers Ben

@@izze-racing is it able to automatically detect where the wheels are for tyre rotations eg. Moving a wheel from front to back? Or does it require reprogramming
@izze-racing11 ай бұрын
@@James-dx9ho As of now, the sensors would have to be reprogrammed. But a trackable TTPMS system is in development.

Is the temperature range adjustable? Or is it limited by the sensor? Is 65C optimal?
@izze-racing4 жыл бұрын
The sensors output temperatures via CAN Bus between -20 to 300˚C. For these tires and conditions, the optimal temperature range is about 90˚C. This overlay is a visual demonstration of the data, not an advertisement of the overlay in itself. We design and manufacture sensors; how the data is analyzed and visualized is up to the customer. Racelogic's HD2 system can do something similar in realtime.

@@izze-racing can this be setup to monitor my 40’ trailers tandem duals tire temp, hub temp, brake temp and pressure? This could be invaluable for OTR trucking. I’d pay a bunch for that. Safety first.
@izze-racing11 ай бұрын
@@mungfam This system is used by semi truck and tire manufactures for R&D. Indeed, it is very important for safety and studying (then mitigating) the accumulation of hysteresis heat generation. To answer your question, yes, all these sensors certainly be used for trailers.
