So, the goal when Mare captured Hilma in season 2 wasn't specifically to kill her but to take over the eight fingers organization so that Nazarick could control the Re-Estize kingdom's underworld. And you are right in that she looks malnourished because she is. They tossed her to Kyouhouku (along with the other 8 finger people). As a reminder that's the roach king we saw in season 3. They made them obedient by having the roaches eat them out from the inside and then heal them. Hilma has it so bad that she can no longer eat solid foods because it reminds her of the roaches in chewing on her and crawling inside of her mouth.

The only things talked about were from season 2, season 3, and this episode. All of these are things you should already know. If you don't know, it's because either it happened too long ago for you to remember or it was never mentioned in the anime and you would've had to read the light novel to now. @@sweetpotato8289 No, the whole of the Holy Kingdom arc plays out between episode 7 and episode 8. That arc was skipped, and then adapted in the new movie. They make reference to the Holy Kingdom arc in episode 8, for instance, and the whole [redacted] that is the main plot in the last arc of season 4 is because of politics that only make sense once you've seen the movie (or read the LN). The warning doesn't really matter right now, but between those episodes a whole arc has been cut.

Regarding your question at 19:10, I don't think it's good to answer it because it's kind of a spoiler. In the previous seasons there were small hints, but they were done that way in the anime so that they wouldn't be noticed at first glance, everything will make much more sense, including the answer to your question in the last episodes of this season.

1. It was hinted at since season 2 that nazarick had an inside operative in the kingdom. Also, before Demiurge attacked as the demon king he had a meeting with the maids and showed a hologram of a person that they should not harm due an agreement ...the hologram was of Climb (it showed parts of his armour) that was probably the biggest hint at that time. 2. Yes, Hima's leg was broken by Mare but she returned at the end of season 2 in the underworld meeting room where Aura and Mare were holding the other underground leaders hostage due to Hilma selling them out and you'll find out later why she looks like that. 3. The arc they "skipped" happens between episodes 7 and 8. It was adapted into the new movie.

Yes, I don't think it was directly stated that Princess Renner was working with Nazarick before now, but there were several subtle hints about it. Demiurge mentioned that something intrigued his interest in the Kingdom back when they were about to rescue Sebastian's woman, that was the time when Demiurge was going to meet with Renner. At a later point Demiurge and Albedo mentioned that there was one person in the kingdom that interested them and was brilliant, which was another reference to Renner.

So... 1. As for the arc that is missing, it is missing from the 3rd part of this season. Basically there will be 2 arcs, then two Novels/one arc will be missing (it's a movie) and the next arc will be animated. 2. Regarding Renner they were dropping hints before that, but nothing clear was said. The strongest hint there was in the end of season 2, you can watch the last arc again and maybe you will see it.

The magic in Overlord was inspired by the old editions of the DnD (like 3e). Therefore, many spells are simply copied in full. From the name to the mechanics and description. In this case, they used the spell Raise Dead, which in 3e DnD brings the dead back to life one level lower. That is, “loss of life force” is a fictional description of level loss. Also, in DnD, the maximum level is 20th, while in YGGDRASIL it is 100th. Therefore, 1 level in DnD corresponds to 5 levels in YGGDRASIL and that is why the description of Raise Dead from YGGDRASIL says that after returning from the dead, 5 levels are lost.

They didn´t kill Hilma, but after she got captured by Mare, they massively tortured her into submission. Talking about getting eaten by Kyouhouku's children (the roaches) from the inside out, then getting healed back up, rinse and repeat. Also, don´t forget that she and the others of "eight fingers" that control the underworld of Re-Estize are already under Nazarick's control. ~ 14:55 the noise you heard is Albedo grinding her teeth out of disgust when Philip touched her. ~ 17:02 don´t worry about the "other thing", it will come up later :) about what Albedo and Renner discussed, and why they are talking the way they do: it hasn´t explicitly been mentioned, and will only briefly be mentioned later. But the last scene is hinting towards the possibility that the Sorcerer Kingdom and Princess Renner have already been in contact for a while by now. And by the fact that Albedo gave Renner the "box" (what exactly it is cannot be explained now, as it will come up at a later point) and Renner says that "the prepararions have already been made" also tells us that something else will happen alongside the invasion Albedo mentioned. Explaining it further would be a spoiler though, so for now just remember that this scene happened. about the arc that is missing: it happens between episode 7 and 8 of this season (Season 4). Season 4 is adapting volume 10-14, but skips volume 12 and 13 which are adapted in the movie.

Why and how Hilma is alive was shown after the credits in the second season, episode 13. Hints of the princess's collaboration with Nazarick were shown in episodes 12 and 13 of the second season. But you have to watch them very carefully to see it.

🛡️ Spoiler shield about the revive part 🛡️ You can see the "Lifeforce" as level. So if you die and get revived, you loses (depending on the spell) 5 or more level. if you are below 5 lev you just turn to dust, if you are to damaged you can turn undead etc.

Yup and by mmorpg logic in most games you lose more the bigger level you are(though for most games no more than 2-3 levels so 5 is harsh enough already) so basically if they were strongest adventurers out there they should be around level 30-40 losing 5 levels get them to like peasant level basically, or at least regular knight. So yeah its harsh

Yes and with this level you loses the last classes you got, which would be by Ainz the Eclipse Class and his Trump Card „The Goal of all life Is death“, which he has thanks to the eclipse class.

@kriegerdernyx3413 you lose 5 or less level. You only use 5 level with a low level reseraction spell like the tier 5 one that Lakyus can use, with higher tier ones you lose less levels / lufeforces and with one from wildmagic you lose none.

@@Dracos210 Some of the highest level magic also can cost EXP instead of mana or HP. For instance, the spell break Ainz tries to use on Shalltear in the Bloody Valyrie arc when she is under mind control is a spell that normally costs levels (or at least EXP), but because of the wish upon a star ring he used that cost was negated. You lose class levels when you lose levels, so in Yggdrassil you would sometimes want to lose levels just to change your class. It's more of a resource than in most RPG's.

If you are watching overlord in timeline order then watch the overlord movie after season 4 episode 7 because their a scene that talks about the ideas in the movie in episode 7 of season 4 and in season 4 episode 8 there is a scene where someone talks about some information about the ending and things that are happening do to the end of the movie and that one scene will have context on how this can happen if you watch the movie before season 4 episode 8 this is all I can reveal without spoilers for later episodes and the movie.

Optional : Watch the movie "Overlord : The Sacred Kingdom" movie between episodes 7 and 8. This is optional as it is not 100% nessisary to understand the last arc. The only context being that Nazarik has made contact with another kingdom and started sending provisions. The movie covers exactly what transpires from introducing the kingdom, to how the current state of things happened. It is unlikely this kingdom will be seen in the anime in future seasons, but may continue to be referenced.

None of this info is spoiler so don't worry, it's just game mechanic. If the body is in good shape time doesn't matter in resurrection. Also the soul of the dead person needs to agree to be revived (they can reject the resurrection) Losing lifeforce means losing level. As the spell came from the Yggdrasil game, you lose 5 levels when revived normally, which means someone below level 5 cannot be revived (they just turn into ash if you try to revive them) There are however items in the game that doesn't have that drawback of losing lifeforce but they are limited use/gacha items...

No you will always loose lifeforce with Yggdrasil magic, but their are higher tier spells with which you loose less lifeforce and those item contains them. There is even a wildmagic spell that doesn’t even need you to lose life force. You would lose five level in the game if you won’t be reseracted but had to spawn in again, as a price for reseraction the same is with the lowest of reseraction spells that is called Raise Dead. This is the tier five spell that layouts can use. Ainz posses wands with which he could use higher revival spells and he thought about using them to revive the people of carne village that where killed by the sunlight scripture. So even people who are under level 5 can be revived with the right spell.

ya...those poor orphans... you find about the princess working with ainz-sama's team now but they show more later. the underworld lady was 'trained' and then used to control the rest as seen a while back but she tin from her 'training' by the Roach king's kin eating her inside out, healed and repeated till she behaves. reviving the dead it cost around 5-10 lvls depending on the spell used normally. and lifeforces can be = to levels if you under 10 and revived you turn to dust as you body to weak to be raised.

"Life force" in context of resurrection is literally "levels". The more powerfull resurrection spell you use, less levels resurrected person lose. Lakyus "Raise Dead" is basically lowest resurrection spell and it cost around 5 level lose. In other words if you try to resurrect regular citizen, whose level likely below "5" he can't be resurrected by Lakyus spell and turn into nothing by it's casting. When Lakyus resurrect Gagaran and Tia they became much weaker around orichalcum level. If you remember, when they return into the battlefield in ep.13 of season 2 they both say something along the line: "Did you need ONCE an outstanding ninja/warrior". This is what they mean. In Iggdrasil terms they lose some levels and became weaker.

They hint at Renner thing with Demiurge saying he saw one person that kingdom that has potential. He was referring to Renner. Which is impressive, because if Albedo and Demiurge who are geniuses recognized her, she has to be really smart. Ainz is actually afraid of her. He's afraid she'll see through him because she doesn't glaze him like his subordinates. She's an actual princess that's brilliant and could see that Ainz is flying by the seat of his boney ass, is clueless most of the time and is depending on his subordinates to glaze him and come up with ideas. That's why he made sure to put the fear in her towards the end of the season.
