I'm building a CB fleet for my clan battles. I have Salem, Hoffmann, Worcester, Smolensk, Yamagirly, Jacksonville and the OranYay. I think the best one for me will be the OranYay. Once you practice on the drops and get used to the delay, It's workable. The guns are sweet.

Got this baby from a crate on a crate... boy it was expensive but... i like it and will most use it for ops since its what i play most...and its guns will shine there ... only one or 2 ops have suitable targets for the airstrikes but it will be usefull when they come up

hmm I'm very tempted to get this ship. I do enjoy my UU GL a lot but I like shooting with my guns as well. A kiting Oranje sounds like a massive pain to deal with and those painful air strikes O.o I own the Van Spikje as well and I do quite enjoy it. Looks like a very good ship for the now testing Unique commander. Then again, there's also the "light cruiser" version of dutch line in testing, which from what I know, has a 30s air strikes... Which I faced earlier today and it was absolutely torture seeing planes one after another setting me on fire repeatedly. I think the light variant might be a tad too powerful from looking at it's specs. I'm committed enough to collect the Dutch line. Will be getting this, sorry for the rambling.

Got it today on the third golden crate. Damn lucky. I played it a couple times and it has some big pros with the guns and tankiness for a cruiser, but some serious cons as well. The lack of air based ASW shocked the hell out of me. You're basically worthless against subs when they're around unless spotted on the surface and your guns are ready to fire at it. For a cruiser, that is a major issue. And you really got to adjust your lead on the airdrop bomb placement, ALOT, to get them to hit. I went with reload over range, but the turrets are incredibly slow to turn so you got to plan for that as well and boosting the reload makes the turrets turn even slower. That being said, in each round, I averaged over 100k damage. Around 130+K per match. And that was just trying to get a feel for it. This thing is a serious damage dealer for a cruiser. It's impressive, but it does have some serious cons as well.

Disagree with OverLordBou - would go for Heavy HE for that added great HE dmg. He even said it himself - you're going to be doing a lot of long range farming with this because the guns are basically railguns. At about 10km conceal for a long range farmer, that concealment is almost TOO good. Taking that nerf to 12km conceal doesn't do much if you're still long range open water. You often find yourself in trouble if you get within 12km, anyways, because the armor is pretty weak. I could honestly see this ship being played with a range mod, as well, since the ship is slow and you're often trying to get ships within your firing range. It also gives you more chance to dodge, since you're long range with weak armor.

Nice Vid with a lot of explanations! If I may ask: I know that Shinano and Archerfish will stay in the armorywhen the event ends, but The Prins, Chikuma II and the german DD will be removed. This i know. Now in your video you claimed that out of the last three some will be permanently removed and it is not planned to bring them back into the armory in about a year. Now, what exactly did i get right and what did i get wrong?

I have a UU GL and love it. What are your thoughts on Oranje for clan battles? Almost seems like she could be a good on a kiting side but also able to punish radar ships against islands

Yes, if you buy dockyard pass you get 400 steel per phase bought as you complete it. Additionally you get steel from battle pass and from star trek pass. You'll have to grind and spend some money but thats possible. Ranked will get you some steel as well.
