my brother and rode downhill from Snoqualmie pass to Rattlesnake lake before they cleaned up the tunnel. Also rode that downhill with my son on single speed BMX bikes. thanks for the memories

Thanks. I don't post very often, but I'm starting to build up a descent library of interesting trips.

So funny to run across this. Tony told me about his bike packing trips with you and Ben, who I’ve known for years. So it’s nice to start watching some of them.

I went on the trail in July but since I started in the afternoon I turned around at the tunnel. It’s amazing how much more water there was in May compared with July. I’ll have to start earlier in the day, or camp at one of the sites before the tunnel next time

waterboarding lol... awesome trip! I am so glad I found this! Totally inspiring to me and my bucket list goals! Maybe you could lead some of us old blue house ladies sometime (like me, shannon, Marianne, lauren (is she riding now?)...)!

Tunnel at the top is 2.5 miles long, straight as a string. Ride it without lights for an adventure. You can see the other end when you are riding it.

Used the trail this summer riding from Poulsbo, jeez I was beat by the time I exited the tunnel.

I’ll bet. It’s not a steep climb, but it is relentless.

Omg im only 10-15 lbs over and I can't handle a few miles. Get exhausted when im done. Headache and everything but im going to keep trying

Keep it up! Hydration, plenty of food, and letting your body adjust to riding are the big keys. Focus on having fun rather than just covering miles. I've been cycling for 23 years and my body has a ton of muscle memory and adaptation, that allows me to get away with deficits in other areas.

@@mydustybike I do really enjoy even short distance I just get so winded. Probably long COVID from a few years ago but most likely out of shape lol..

We did this Memorial Day and I finally got around to making the video. It was definitely a good time. A very doable ride.
