Thanks for your warm comment. What are ferries in America like? I thought you have nicer ones.

@@off-to-japan oh heavens no, they are just day ferries and very utilitarian, just steel and plastic, not beautiful like yours

@@off-to-japan that is a dream of mine, I love everything about Japan, the beautiful people, the landscape, the culture, the respect for tradition and the respect for yourself and others, we are severely lacking respect in America and it's so refreshing to see your beautiful Country

I think it was good, although I agree that the dinnertime buffet made me a little dizzy. The breakfast, where you introduced all the food and then showed us the plate was much better. Your English is very good! And I think I could sleep in a capsule hotel but not in a room like that. At least you didn't have people right next to you!
@off-to-japan Жыл бұрын
Sorry for making you dizzy. This ferry has capsule hotel rooms and of course private rooms as well. Anyway thank you for your comments!

Fascinating video but I've been in dorms and here was always a bit of room between YOUR bed and the other Presson's bed. This looked just too cozy for me. I'd have gone upscale a bit more. This looks like if you rolled over you and the guy next to you would be engaged.
@off-to-japan Жыл бұрын
It was September 2022 that was the situation with COVID-19 so people didn't travel a lot. That's why the dorms were just a few people. It' the best season in the summer to visit Hokkaido so it would be busy July, August and early September.

How much is the charges from oarai port to hokkaido per person including the car?
@off-to-japan Жыл бұрын
from ¥29,700. It depends on the season. It's including one person ferry fee of Tourist Room. *You can upgrade your room by paying the difference. Check it out! www.sunflower.co.jp/en/fare/twilight/

@11:11 Why?! There has to be slightly enough room on the ferry to not have to sleep like that! I know it’s somewhat customary in Japanese culture to sleep like this, five inches away from a stranger, but how?! There’s got to be about a zero percent chance that out of twenty-six people, not one of them would be snoring and farting all night long. I would not get any sleep, and would surely search for some private corner of the ship to sleep.
@off-to-japan Жыл бұрын
It is the cheapest one that's the only reason I chose. And I can sleep with earplugs even if someone were snoring. But you can stay at a private room if you pay 18,000JPY more for a solo traveler. I was a solo traveler, so I felt like reasonable to have a private room with triple price from dorm's price that I chose.

Shocked to see so many people in the cafeteria. Most of these ferry boat videos from Japan have almost no people in images.

Looks like a college dorm and dining room. Sort of sad looking without so many people to liven it up. Please slow down *a lot* on your panning - it's not pleasant to watch at Fast and Furious speed...

Well first off im disappointed....i expect to be educated in ways, meanings, ànd things...but instead got sea sick from round and round camera at dinner...then off to the deck next morning and still no explanation except going to deck and cant miss breakfast. Why are you showing us a boat if you arent going to tell us why and what its used for? Then you show us land off in the distance but dont tell us whatvit is....more info...how old is ferry? What kind of rooms behind doors down you Long Hall? Lots of people on board even with Covid still going around so whats up with that? Did Japan drop restrictions? In the end I got pretty scenery but little facts and explanations. Not a big fan..sorry

BEST BOAT VIDEO EVER!!! Boat go vroom!
@off-to-japan Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment and I apologize for making you sea sick. This video was shot in September 2022. So it is still Covid-19 spread. But people went on a trip. Our Government have not issued stay-at-home order. Because it was my first video about ferry trip, I couldn't make good one. So I will try my best next ferry trip. Hope you will watch my YT again. Thanks.
