Abu Ra is my kind of restaurant! Family owned, quality authentic ingredients, outstanding service and a beautiful decor. The food looked amazing. Ten out of ten all day. That interior is stunning. The menu looked mouth wateringly good. The stunned silence when you took the first bite, love it. It’s what makes you so thoroughly enjoyable to watch. I realised, as you took the first spoonful of soup, that I was grinning like an idiot! Great review.

Exactly what this channel is about. Excellent video. It encourages people to try new cuisines and restaurants, celebrates the vast diversity we have here in the UK and more specifically London, where we have so many cuisines and cultures all within a relatively small area. The food might be on the slightly expensive side but to experience a new culture without having to get on a plane, the conversations you can have with the family owners, to learn about Georgia, this is what it's all about. That's much better than the standard fast food it's so easy to opt for when deciding what to eat lol. Not to mention the decor and experience of the day out, perfect date night location or catch up with a friend etc. It's opened my mind to different restaurants and cuisines that's for sure.

Hi Gary, never been to Abu Ra as it's quite new, I live around the "corner" and when I go to Brick lane I have a had habit to either go for a bagel or an Indian. But quite a few friends of mine have recommended it so it's on the to visit list. The food looked and sounded absolutely delicious, from flavours to textures. So will definitely go there as soon as possible, but working a heck of a lot lately. Will follow what you were having in fact as it looked just fabulous. Obviously with a bottle of red wine to share with the wife. But this is alway peak season at work these month's before X-mas. Promise I will visit the place before then. Congratulations again with the 150k + subs, so happy for you and your sons success, it so well deserved as you're the GOAT when it comes to food reviewers. I mean that with my hand on my heart. I love soup. As does my wife, who is very inventive where soup is concerned. This looks like something she would create, and the taste would be out of this world. She, like me, grew up during and after the war where food was scarce. As a consequence, she uses many different ingredients that would normally be tossed out. Love Georgian food. They use great ingredients and make wholesome food. A great restaurant, looks comfortable and I like the written messages, bottles of wine.etc. on the shelves. My very late great grandparents had a huge house in Romford and kept chickens and that soup in a stoneware pot just reminded me of what we used to get with all that veg in it. I was a very young child back then. It did look very yummy with the lamb too 🙂
