New subscriber, love your content. I'm sure you already have, but get Oakley some squirrel toys lol, hes gona hurt his neck looking up all the time hahah. Nice cabin, and I'm glad you got the erosion problem somewhat figured out for now, I would build a dock off of that if you can. Much love from Phx AZ

Greets from Hamburg in Germany! I am a facility manger with carpenter backround. You are a real good steal men! Hamburg is build in water on water suroundet by water (the city with the most bridges in the world- 2500 more then venice) I would build a water bridge- a system that would reach 2-3 meter over the river like for a war ship- that could stand on "rail railways tracks" or so. If you are there you roll it "over the river" and if you leave you roll it back on secure land to protect the mobile bridge from harm by trees or ice...running by. Frank

With the misquitos as bad as they are I would have that netting to put on my head and long sleeves..great video..love them..

You actually get used to them and a little squirt of mosquito spay “bug dope” pretty much keeps them away. If the are real bad we use a thermocell

What I think you would do with a pile driver and a barge full of 20' tight sheeting. Something else to bring up during the winter freeze. Great video. Cheers 🍻

I was just wondering, are you allowed to build some sort of a dock ….. Tiny ( Len Price ) Houston MS
@diyalaskanlifestyle
@diyalaskanlifestyle 4 ай бұрын
@@lenprice6315 yes we could but would have to be small enough to take it out. I’ve seen 150’ huge spruce trees go floating by and for sure have to pull it out for winter breakup when the ice goes down it does some serious damage

Don't leave cushions outside when you leave im wondering if you lock up atv and ladders
@diyalaskanlifestyle
@diyalaskanlifestyle 6 ай бұрын
Ya we brought the cushions in, no we don’t lock the stuff up if someone wants it bad enough they are going to take it. if someone is in need of something like gas or whatever because they have a problem (remember we’re in the middle of nowhere) they are more then welcome to take it and leave a note that’s kinda the unwritten rule or at least that’s my rule

No, up here people leave other people’s stuff alone for the most part. In town that’s a different story most of the rif raf can’t afford the gas to get to where we are
