My dad was a truck driver. He was rarely home. I remember how hard that was. Sleep paralysis is terrifying. Had that happen to me once.

I had sleep paralysis once after working an 18 hour shift. When I got off, on my way home and at a stop light, I accidentally bumped the driver in front of me. No one was hurt, but it scared me.

Sleep paralysis is something non believers use to excuse actual demon attacks. I’m not saying some sleep paralysis doesn’t exist but you must be able to identify the difference. For one, with sleep paralysis, that would require you to actually be asleep! My three attacks, Ivwascwide awake, in bed but had not gone to sleep yet. My last one was so terrifying that I refuse to be in the dark ever since and that one was about four years ago. I even drive with one of the lights on in my car at night. Also the three times it happened to me or all times that I was spending a lot of time studying the Bible and all of the historical facts that prove, the Bible true. I was very active in sharing the knowledge that I have learned and talking to people about Jesus. The devil apparently was not happy with that & came to get in my face. In my 55 years, ONLY during those times was I attacked. Seems like quite a coincidence if you ask me.! Anyway, there’s a lot I could tell you but way too much for a KZbin comment

can totally relate to being wide awake but trapped. I had it 3 times at 19yrs old. First 2 times I was unable to move and lay petrified as something child like and evil bounced around the bottom of my bed. Still feel the fear. Third time I mastered breaking free. Long time ago now thankfully.

There's a place in Virginia right off route 95 it's called Dead Man's Bluff, there's a long history of this car that went off the hill with a young woman who died in the crash. People report seeing this woman that runs out in front of them, but as you pass you can see right through her! I was going down the road with one of my drivers and we both saw her. I got on the cb and asked him if he saw her? He said yes about a mile down the road we saw a cop and told him, he told us the legend. I decided to pull the video from both trucks and there was a creepy shadow thing. That was almost a year ago, and thinking back still gives me an uneasy feeling of despair. Alex, do you believe in ghosts, I do and so does my driver after that night.

You are the reason I'm trying to get my CDL. I always wanted to do truck driving since I was 9 or 10 (14 or 15 years ago). I didn't want to at first only because it's a long process for me to get it due to medical issues. I asked my doctor if I'm able to get it and he said he doesn't see why not. Hopefully the doctors who do the DOT medical exams would allow me.

My uncle used to love his job and had lots of tales, he had a story about a girl that knocked on his door, it sounded like a girl.. he opened the door and nobody was there. He said he never used to speed except for that day on his way back.. He loved the road so much that he actually ended up dying in his pick up.. thanks to a drunk driver

I remember one time I was tired and just wanted to get home. My last pickup was about 30 minutes from the yard, so backed up, heard what sound like the 5th latching, did a quick tug test and it all seemed fine. When I got out, I looked and everything seemed copesetic if a little high. As I was raising the landing gear my mind told me, just do another tug. Got in, put the truck in gear, pressed on the accelerator and heard a very loud, "ker klunk." Yeah, turns out I was not latched so the trailer fell about two inches and got caught by the landing gear. Glad I did that second test.

"High hooking" is a life lesson! The first time I did it in a Yard Dog, I seriously never recovered from it! Dropping a trailer is traumatizing! (And hand cranking it back up is exhausting!) I got really OCD after that incident. High hooking after that was never a problem! EDIT: Beautiful backing job!! Great Driver!

You are 100% correct about having to make sacrifices in order to get ahead. It takes great discipline and motivation to make those sacrifices but the whole point of making those sacrifices today is to reap a greater return or benefit in the future. You are doing that for your family. You are a driven, good young man that is working hard to provide your family with a better life. Young people don’t want to do that these days….they just want it to be given to them. Well, that doesn’t work and those people will be very disappointed when they find that they ever made any sacrifices today for a better tomorrow. I was and still am very driven and I made many, many sacrifices because I knew it would pay off. Yes, I missed events in ,y Childrens lives that saddened me but Imdid it so,they could have the best life, far better than the life I had and it all paid off. It was grueling, stressful and depressing at times but there’s an old saying; “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger” and it is 100% true. For a kid that put himself through school, over 40 years ago, I ended up doing extremely well and have been able to provide an excellent standard of living for my wife and 3 adult children which makes me very happy. I was able to put all 3 through college. My kids all know the hard work and sacrifices that I had to make and always tell me how grateful they are and look up to me for giving them a great standard of living. You are setting your kids up with a foundation for success. Sorry for the long comment but you are doing the right thing and they will be very grateful and always look up to you and love you for,your hard work and sacrifices. You should be proud. Good luck!

I’ve been told I’m an empath but with no training. I just get these major weird intuitions and get sick a few days before a death. I hate it. My husband and I woke up and sat up in bed at 3 am just looking at each other like what the hell? My Mom had been really ill and was out of ICU for 2 days and doing better. They had a sitter with her so I could go sleep. I called to check on her and her nurse just came out of her room and said she was doing fine. At 5am the phone rang. I grabbed it and I just knew. I truly believe we were warned or her spirit came to say goodbye but we didn’t get it. They said she passed right after I called and after an hour of CPR and then waiting for her doctor to come and pronounce her it was about 5 am. Same thing with my husbands Mother. If you’ve not experienced something like this it’s very strange. Thanks for sharing Alex. Love following you as you achieve your career.

Funny (or scary) story: when i was 6 or 7 years old, i woke up in the middle of the night because i was thirsty, i tried to call for my mom, but i couldn't move like at all, i couldn't speak or anything, sleep paralysis lasts for like a couple seconds (max 4 or 5 seconds) but it feels like eternity, in sleep paralysis you can look around, listen and feel, but you can't react, speak or do anything else rather than hearing .
