Overnight Yellowfin Tuna and Swordfish Trip. New Jersey, September 2023

Filmed 9/5-9/6 2023.
We start out trolling midshore (50 miles from Atlantic City, NJ) on day 1 seeing a few bites but mostly pulling hooks. We only put 2 yellowfin tuna in the boat on day 1.
We then push out to the closest canyon and get a few swordfish bites, releasing a Keeper.
Ran back inshore and then day 2 JUST GOES ABSOLUTELY OFF!!!! One of the better chunk and jig bites we've seen in a while!!!

Why hasn't any of this been picked up by a TV/sports broadcast??? This is way better than some of the fishing crap we are stuck watching on TV! Then again, I am a "Super-Pumped" fan from the beginning of the You Tube days! So maybe I am just looking for a local guy to go HOLLYWOOD! LOL! Looking forward to watching your 2024 adventures! WOW! What a flat ocean for two days, can’t believe no tuna at night? Back in the 90’s we used to score big time in the Hudson on the night chunk also early morning troll for big eye. Looks like you guys had fun and I’m looking forward to seeing part two. Great job Captain Chris! 👍🏻

I was out the 6th and ran SE of the triple wrecks where the bite had turned on a couple days prior, fishing was slow we went 2-4, but heard about a possible bite 30 miles SW (if I had to guess I think it’s where you ended up) and we’re thinking about going and checking it out but didn’t have any solid reports, and it was like 1 PM at the time, and we were already 86 miles from home. We would have had to make an hour run, it would have put us over 100 miles from home, then would have only been able to fish for 2 hours and have a 4 hour ride home so we decided against it, but guys who ran caught good. A buddy of mine hooked a skipjack on a jig and had a blue marlin eat the skipjack

I started switching out all the stingers on my bars and running some kind of ballyhoo rig with ridiculous results. I rarely use the rig it comes with anymore. Good stuff bud. The time is drawing near for Giants to be passing through
